It is shown earlier that when Xavier brought the spider to life, he also controlled its movements. However, Xavier's visions were of a real being, and drawing the Hyde could have meant the mixture of art and real life allowed the Hyde in the painting to have its own control.
Xavier has psychic visions like Wednesday, but they're more powerful, and they come to him in dreams, not by touching something. It is not fully explained, but his visions have some connection to his drawings, which are what spurred his paintings of the Hyde.
Xavier's powers in Wednesday are never fully explored, but Xavier is somehow connected to the Hyde with powers that are similar to Wednesday's.
This is because she discovers that Xavier has been having dreams of Hyde, which he then put on canvas as paintings. Or so he claims. Wednesday suspects that the reason why Xavier is painting the Hyde, and the reason for his visions, is that he is the Hyde himself.
Tyler is the Hyde.
Wednesday had thought the Hyde was Xavier, and even gave up the psychic painter to the cops, but it was the reformed bully and sheriff's son all along.
Plot twist #1: Xavier is not the Hyde. The Hyde is actually Tyler (Hunter Doohan).
Since then, they appear to have formed a friendship. Xavier seems to have a crush on Wednesday, although he never admits it to anyone, including himself, but he couldn't help feeling very jealous and angry after seeing her go to the school dance with Tyler.
As he explains, he has been tormented by nightmares of the monster and has been using his art to process the images. One of the images inadvertently came to life the previous evening, scratching Xavier's neck.
Wednesday Was Never Romantically Interested In Xavier

A regular at the coffee shop he worked at, Laurel Gates revealed to him his Hyde nature as a way to control and unlock his Hyde powers. What is Xavier University's Blue Blob? D'Artagnan isn't the only mascot at Xavier. The Blue Blob was created in 1985 as a kid-friendly alternative to the sometimes-scary main mascot. The costume features a muppet nose, hound eyes and, of course, blue fur.
While Tyler is the actual Hyde monster, it's discovered he was being manipulated by Professor Marilyn Churchill, also revealed to be Laurel Gates (played by Christina Ricci). And it all leads to Wednesday's shocking discovery that her pseudo-boyfriend, local barista Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), has been the Hyde all along — with her “dorm mom” and science teacher Miss Thornhill manipulating him as his master.
Xavier decides to explain to Wednesday why he hates Tyler so much. It turns out that at last year's Outreach Day, Tyler and his friends assaulted Xavier and destroyed his mural. Wednesday confronts her date about this accusation, and he admits that it's the truth, but he regrets his actions.
Xavier says he painted her in an effort to forget her; he can make the bow move so it's like she's playing, and even though I'm not really into Xavier, I do feel like that is very cool.
Wednesday's roommate, Enid Sinclair, is likely the same age as her, 16, while Emma Myers is 20 years old. Enid is a young werewolf on the series.
At the end of the seasons' penultimate episode, Wednesday decides to finally act on her growing feelings for Tyler and share her first kiss with him, which is when it all falls apart.
Now, in an interview with EW, Doohan reveals whether Tyler ever harbored true feelings for Wednesday. He was blinded by his vengeance and what had happened to his mother, and therefore, the only thing he truly cared for was destroying Wednesday, the Addams Family, and Nevermore.
Wednesday meets her other love interest Tyler Galpin at a coffee shop when she escapes her therapy appointment in Nevermore's neighboring town, Jericho. They quickly bond as he offers to help her skip town and shows her the "horror movie" Legally Blonde.

Though the actor's character has enough of a woeful time winning the affections of Wednesday's Xavier (Percy Hynes White), even Bianca's siren song isn't going to win her the heart of this literary hero.
Wednesday decided that Tyler would be the perfect date to the Nevermore dance, even though she briefly talked about going to the dance with Xavier. Her kiss with Tyler is what brought their relationship to an end because it was at that moment that she caught a clear vision of him turning into Hyde.
