In the Eternals movie, Sersi said that the Eternals couldn't fight Thanos because they could only fight in conflicts that involved
The Eternals were instructed not to interfere with any human conflict unless Deviants are involved. There's a reason why that's the case. And that was the instruction from the prime Celestial Arishem.”
there are heroes and villains in Marvel Comics that could easily stand their ground against him. The Avengers took a lot of time to deal with the threat of Thanos. But these Eternals could have single-handedly floored Thanos and humiliated the Mad Titan in his own game. There are Eternals in the MCU already.
Why did the Eternals never help the Avengers? The Celestials ordered them to ONLY help when Deviants are involved. None of the Avengers' enemies are confirmed to be related to Deviants, hence the Eternals could not help them.
Thanos, however, is also afflicted by Deviant syndrome, a genetic disposition that gave him a monstrous appearance but also the power to synthesize cosmic energy, which made him stronger than most Eternals.
Physical Strength
The abilities of the Eternals - their strength, speed, power, intelligence, experience - outmatch the Avengers' at almost every turn.
Doctor Strange watches against threats from other dimensions, but the Eternals are part of our dimension. If it is revealed later that Doctor Strange knows of the Eternals, then the reason he didn't ask them for help in Avengers: Infinity War is that Marvel Studios wasn't ready to introduce the Eternals yet.
No Eternals Were Snapped Away by Thanos - Here's Why.
Now, it's not explicitly said in Eternals nor in any other MCU movie if Thanos knew about The Emergence in Infinity War or not, but he most likely did.
Why didn't the Eternals fight Thanos? He was half Eternal and half Deviant, so he was fair game. *sigh* where was it stated that Thanos is half-Deviant in the MCU? Eternals are only allowed to interfere with conflicts involving Deviants.
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
So, in the end as powerful as Eternals are, none of them would be too much for Thor, Hulk and Captain Marvel. Bring Doctor Strange and Wanda into the equation, and they don't stand a chance.
3 Darkseid Is Thanos's Superior
The God of Evil has been fighting his wars for countless millennia and is one of the most powerful beings around. Few enemies have ever been able to beat him one on one and killing him is nigh impossible. Thanos is a fearsome enemy, but Darkseid is his superior in all forms.
In the comics, Thanos is an Eternal, and one from a very important bloodline: His father, Al'ars, was the son of Kronos, who ruled the Eternals of Earth following a civil war that divided the original colony. Following his father's death, Al'ars traveled the universe as the Mentor.
Technically, Gilgamesh and Sersi were the first Eternals from Earth to become members of the Avengers. But the first Eternal Avenger was none other than Eros, AKA Starfox. Starfox came to Earth in AVENGERS (1963) #232, and he immediately asked to join the roster.
The Eternals hail from the planet Olympia and were created by the Celestials to protect intelligent life against the Deviants, who were also created by the Celestials. The Deviants were meant to just hunt predators, but decided to hunt everything, which led to the need for the Eternals.
Thanos is not a robot.
Thanos and the Eternals
Well, as Eternals reveals, when Thanos snapped his finger and wiped out half of all life in the universe, that set back the Celestials plans. All of a sudden, there wasn't enough intelligent life to power the growth of new Celestials.
Eros, also known as Starfox, is a member of the genetically engineered Eternals. Created by Arishem the Judge in the World Forge, he was stationed on Titan, joining the royal family as a prince and becoming the adoptive brother of Thanos.
Thanos killed half everything! Every man, woman, child, animals, plant life, alien beings (including The Celestials). He meant what he said when he would kill half of life within the known universe. No one was excluded except those who survived the outcome.
growing inside the planet because that would have destroyed them when it burst out of the planet. but thanos also saved the avengers from airshow the judge. and the rest of the celestial.
With all their powers combined, and without his Infinity Gauntlet, the Eternals might have the upper hand on Thanos. However, it does not seem likely that any one of them could stand a chance on their own against the Mad Titan.
Kingo said Thor used to hang out with him when he was a kid. That means Thor knows about the existence of the Eternals.
In the Eternals film, it was stated that Thor knew who they were. Why does he let them help the Celestials destroy planets when Thor is supposed to be a protector? Most of the Eternals themselves didn't know their true mission until Arishem revealed it to them (except Ajak and Ikaris). Thor wouldn't know it either.
It's none other than Charlize Theron, playing Clea, the daughter of Dormammu, the big, fiery villain from the first Doctor Strange movie. Or at least, she's the daughter of Dormammu in the comics. In the movies?
