The primary reason that so many people dislike Bakugo is that he comes across as a bully even long after he's reportedly developed as a character. In season 1, he bullied Deku because the hopeless romantic didn't have any powers but still aimed to become a hero, which really triggered Bakugo's superiority complex.
Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, and aggressive person, especially at the beginning of the series. Katsuki tends to come off as unheroic; this problematic behavior going all the way back to his early childhood days when he was known to bully a young, Quirkless, Izuku Midoriya.
He doesn't like deception, which is why he'd rather fight a battle to the death instead of tricking others to save himself. He is not interested in being dishonest, and he never does anything that would betray his character, even when it has the potential to change the outcome of a battle.

Mitsuki hit on Masaru rather aggressively, making him say yes to a date. After a long time of chasing him, they eventually got married and had their son, Katsuki, sometime later.

Bakugo has been Midoriya's rival since the beginning.
However, Bakugo is not always an aggressive, angry kid. Sometimes, he reveals just how nice he is deep down. Not only does he always believe in his classmates, but he also stands up for what's right and what he believes in. He takes responsibility for his failures, and above all, he is a hero.

Midoriya and Bakugo may be on better terms but the one person in class 1-A who has proven to be Bakugo's best friend, is Eijiro Kirishima.
The first thing to understand is the actual meaning behind Kacchan. It's a portmanteau of Bakugo's first name Katsuki and the "chan" honorific. This is normally used for small children, cute girls and close friends. It can also be used for older boys.
Bakugou's sense of self-worth is built on his superiority to others due to being praised so much for his superior quirk as a kid. As a result, anything that could challenge that superiority is a threat to his entire identity, and so he responds to even minor provocation by getting absolutely pissed off.

Almost as popular as the Deku and Bakugo ship is the pairing that puts Bakugo and Kirishima together. It's hard to deny these two have chemistry, and the fact that Bakugo actually views Kirishima as his equal -- and remembers his name -- is enough to fuel this particular pairing.
