Eddie embodies the metalhead culture of the 80s, from his frizzy hair to his ripped jeans. It's no wonder that such a unique style would immediately appeal to the audience, and when crafting Eddie's aesthetic, there was nothing left to chance.
Eddie Was a Quick Fan-Favorite on 'Stranger Things 4'
There was just something about him that people were drawn to. Perhaps it was his grunge/rocker aesthetic, or his nerdy/cool guy persona — whatever it was, Eddie quickly took the Stranger Things universe (and the internet) by storm.
Eddie Munson has a strong presence. He is so unafraid to be himself, and he fully embraces that he is weird and different. He is not one to try to fit into the crowd, and he makes his presence known loud and proud from his very first appearance in episode one.
He's an advocate for all things seen as 'weird' and 'different. ' He makes it okay to be that way — the way he takes on 'little sheep' who need a place to feel accepted. He makes everyone feel welcome and is a huge comfort to many people.”
He's the type of person we aim to be: he loves himself in all of his eccentricities and he's comfortable in his own skin. But he also has insecurities and (spoilers ahead) he makes righteous sacrifices. Also, he played some bitchin' licks. Mystery solved, Sherlock.
Steve — He's A Pretty Damn Good Babysitter
His newfound friendships with Dustin and Robin turned him into one of the kindest, funniest characters in Stranger Things. Steve is most amusing and charming when, willingly or unwillingly, babysitting the younger characters.
Edward Charles Allan "Eddie" Brock is a character and villainous anti-hero from Marvel comics. He is the first Venom, and has also been Anti-Venom, Toxin, Carnage and the King in Black. He was a reporter who had success, that then turned into failure, and bonded with a symbiote named Klyntar.
Sitting at a bench, Eddie and Chrissy discussed the marijuana purchase, with Eddie telling her he could sell a half an ounce for $20. Still in shock from her vision, Chrissy did not give him her full attention and was startled by a squirrel.
Eddie Munson from the drama could be identified as an ISFJ personality type. This manifests in his strong sense of duty and responsibility towards his family and community, as well as his tendency to avoid confrontation and maintain harmony in his relationships.
Steve Harrington
Once a selfish and ignorant jock, he became one of the most beloved characters thanks to the courage and bravery he continuously displayed. After his heroic fight against the Demogorgon, Steve became something of a babysitter for the Hawkins kids and risked his life several times to save them.
Munson, the Metallica-playing Stranger Things character, was inspired by Damien Echols, a writer who was part of the West Memphis Three, a group of teenagers convicted of murder in Arkansas in the '90s.
Damien Echols is the inspiration behind fan-favorite metalhead Eddie Munson. In Netflix's award-winning series Stranger Things, the creators of the show, the Duffer Brothers, wrote the scripts to take place in a very specific time in history — the '80s — and took inspiration from the world as it was then.
While there is proof that Eddie is 010, there is also proof to the contrary. First the timeline is just a bit off. Chrissy said that she knew Eddie in middle school. Meanwhile, it looked like 010 was about 12-years-old during the massacre, which would have him in 7th grade.
Rather than lean in to a predictable dynamic of macho rivalry, Joseph Quinn improvised lines hinting at Eddie having a crush on Steve Harrington. The two share a heartwarming moment in the woods amid Vecna's mayhem where Steve comforts Eddie after they admit they were jealous of each other.
A loopy Steve Harrington, drugged by Russian operatives, confesses his feelings for his new friend Robin Buckley. The two work together at the ice cream shop Scoops Ahoy and unravel a top-secret Russian scheme together. They're bonded now. It makes sense that they'd fall in love.
Though Fred appeared to be bright and level-headed, he harbored extreme guilt for his role in the fatal 1985 car accident, and believed many people look at him as a "murderer." This guilt and mental unrest made him a target of Vecna.
did Eddie have a crush on Chrissy? “I think kind of… yes. I think he did,” Quinn says.
Eddie had to watch Chrissy's mind and body being destroyed as Joyce breaks the doll she receives from Russia. Afterwards, Eddie became traumatized over Chrissy's death and guilty for not having been able to help her.
Sadly, yes. Even though this is the “best” symbiotic human relationship Venom has found, Venom's habitation of a human body is fatal.
Venom's symbiote has explained on many occasions that the Klyntar planet is practically devoid of emotions, yet over time he knows that he forms genuine love for Eddie. Venom bonds more with Eddie and experiences guilt, jealousy, and sadness over his other half.

Jonathan Byers
Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) routinely tops lists of the worst Stranger Things characters, and it's not hard to see why. First of all, taking pictures of Nancy without her consent was extremely creepy and a few edits aren't going to make fans forget that.
