Maeve's control of hosts is possible thanks to a "mesh network." As explained in season 2, all hosts are connected by a glorified WiFi signal designed to let the robots meaningfully communicate with each other.

Queen Maeve's sexual orientation in the show has been revealed to be bisexual. She has a girlfriend called Elena and previously dated Homelander, and had sex with Butcher. In "Nothing Like It in the World", Homelander outs Maeve as lesbian, but, in "We Gotta Go Now", Elena finally made it clear that Maeve is bisexual.
Meanwhile, Maeve begins having casual sex with Jackson Marchetti before the two eventually start dating after Otis inadvertently gives Jackson advice on how to win Maeve over. When Maeve discovers that she is pregnant with Jackson's child, she asks Otis to accompany her to get an abortion.
Maeve, though not quite as old as some of the other prime Hosts (Dolores, Teddy, Angela, Akecheta, Craddock) is a first-generation host, who along with other hosts such as Armistice, Rebus and the old Peter Abernathy, were created by the Argos Initiative and trained at the beta testing facility in Escalante.

Her fear of him and urge to help the innocent is a major weakness for Maeve, and one that Homelander exploits to have her bend to his will. Luckily, this is something that she tries to overcome in Season 3 as she trains herself to go toe-to-toe with her biggest fear — Homelander.

She has immense physical power, so much so that when she was younger she punched a falling school bus and only suffered a few broken bones in her arm. Her ability to jump long distances also plays into this, making her almost invincible in a show of might.
What we understand in the moment is it's the first real decision she's made all season. Which is, she's not going to fulfill the script she's been given, which is to take this train wherever it's going, and do whatever else she's programmed to do. She can get off the train.
Known Deaths. Maeve's daughter had died 1 time on screen. The incidents which she died are as follow: Shot in the head by the Man in Black in a flashback, in Trace Decay.
We know that Maeve's great escape was all part of her programing because Bernard told us so. We don't find out exactly who programmed Maeve to escape in the end, but obviously it must be Ford. Sure it could have been someone else, but no one else really makes sense.
Affectionate Nickname: Her brother and mother both call her "Froggy" or "Frogface", which is clearly an endearing family pet name from Maeve's childhood. Maeve isn't too fond of it, though, especially when her mother first appears. Animal Motif: An odd one with frogs.
But, surprisingly, both Queen Maeve and Soldier Boy survive. Maeve, now powerless (Soldier Boy's radiation removed the Compound V in her system, just like it did to Kimiko), is also free to live the life she always wanted with her girlfriend Elena.
When Isaac and Maeve are finally intimate with each other, it feels like an extension of the pair's evolving relationship and the next step in its progression. It's also a crucial scene because it shows Isaac, who is in a wheelchair, as a sexual being, someone who desires and is, in turn, desirable.
She is at first rejoiced at being selected, however is later sexually assaulted when the Deep extorts her into performing oral sex on him in "The Name of the Game" in order for her to stay on the team.
The fans wait to see how the scene would play a role in the future episodes of the show. But looking at how Butcher hates Superheroes and wants them all gone, the hookup with Maeve was just a moment of passion and means nothing more to him. It could just be a way to move the plot forward with Homelander.
