There is a reason why Goku is perhaps the strongest mortal fighter in all of Dragon Ball, and that's because he has no shortage of techniques, power-ups, and transformations that grant him power surpassing literal gods–and this one is no exception, as it secretly explains why Goku's basically unbeatable.
Goku is considered by many as anime's strongest fighter, and you'd be hard-pressed to find others capable of rivaling him in strength. Despite this, rare as they may be, there exist characters within the medium with powers more impressive than those of the popular Saiyan.
He has been trained by all of the best teachers in the universe, first Gohan, then Roshi, then Korin, then Kami, then King Kai, and now Whis. He even used a few risky maneuvers to increase his ability, such as drinking the Ultra Divine Water to kill King Piccolo.
Goku is technically infinitely 3-D by power scaling, but he is not infinitely powerful.
Ultra Instinct grants Goku a level of power that was previously unheard of in Dragon Ball. Literally referred to as the "State of the Gods," it would be no surprise if Ultra Instinct Goku could already beat Beerus. As the main character, Goku eventually surpassing Beerus is all but guaranteed.
Goku didn't break his limiter. He keeps breaking his limit so he doesn't exactly have an established limit due to his saiyan biology but Saitama doesn't have a 'limiter' at all.
Perfected Ultra Instinct is known by other names such as Mastered and Completed Ultra Instinct, and is still the apex of Goku's power. Not only did Goku beat Jiren in this form, but he also defeated Moro as well.
Finally, Goku's strongest transformation currently in the series is undoubtedly Ultra Instinct. Very few opponents have even managed to stand up to it thus far, and even fewer can say they've won against it.
Goku is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise. His abilities include super strength, utilization of ki, teleportation, super speed, and durability. However, he is the strongest anime character because he overcomes adversity and thrives on improvement.
Indeed, Goku has been beaten countless times, and it's usually actually a tradition to have him lose against an arc villain before training and getting powerful enough to defeat our villain once and for all.
Goku has much greater stats, power, forms, and combat experience/skills, but SpongeBob has much better abilities, arsenal, and hax's that he can win in many scenarios himself.
Goku can destroy a universe, but not a space time continuum. They are different. And Low Multiversal requires being able to destroy either multiple space-time continuums or multiple 4-D areas larger than an infinite 3-D one. Correction, he can destroy everything inside a universe.
Super Saiyan 3 Goku at full power has a battle power of 24,000,000,000, 2 billion above Kid Buu's level.
While Dragon Ball's Goku has unlocked god-like powers of his own, he still doesn't stand a chance against Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction if the two were to ever fight again. There is, however, one classic Dragon Ball hero who actually could fend off Beerus with one ingenious attack.
With 21 canon variations of Super Saiyan now existing, here is a breakdown of all Super Saiyan forms in Dragon Ball.
1) Jiren. As seen in Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power arc, Goku was unable to defeat Jiren in a 1v1 even after achieving Mastered Ultra Instinct. While Goku has honed his Ultra Instinct since the Tournament of Power in the manga, Jiren and Goku have yet to rematch as Goku is now.
While Goku is known for being perhaps the strongest mortal in the universe, he does have one weakness that caused him to be defeated by Dragon Ball's weakest fighter (and it's pretty embarrassing).
Goku-76, Probably higher than you thought but he often proves he can do smart things too. Vegeta-106, About average intelligence and is never shown to have superior intelligence. Piccolo-115, Often portrayed to have clever moments and leads the Z fighters in a smart way. Bulma-190, No surprise Bulma's REALLY smart.
40 Kid Goku - The Goku Who Started It All
In this chronology of Goku's journey to become the strongest mortal in Universe 7, it perhaps goes without saying that his earliest depiction is also his weakest. Kid Goku, as we see him in the Hunt for the Dragon Balls arc and during the 21st Budokai, is a rather weak fellow.
Arguably, Goku's greatest weakness is the fact that he never starts a fight going all out. He loves a good fight and has often held back just so whatever fight he's in can develop into a good one.
When Goku was killed by Cell, he declined to be wished back by the power of the Dragon Balls. As a result, he remained dead for seven years. He wasn't resurrected until the end of the Buu Saga. Since Goku wasn't technically alive during this period, he didn't age during his time in Otherworld.
Dragon Ball Super revealed that Goku's decision to kill his brother Raditz, which he never regretted, could have been one of his biggest mistakes.
