Compared to previous entries to the series, Fifa 23 feels like a game where it is particularly hard to keep the ball out of the net. The new Hypermotion technology in play has given attackers new animations and skill moves that make stopping them that bit harder.
The 4-2-2-2 formation has been powerful in many past FIFA games and this year is no different. A rigid back 4 being covered by 2 central defensive midfielders gives a really strong defensive core.
This is generally the most effective striker setup across a majority of tactics in FUT. Overall the 4-5-1 formation is an incredibly attacking tactic in Ultimate Team. It is ideal for players that wish to play on the front foot and play at a high tempo both on and off the ball.
On FIFA 23 the 4-3-3 formations are solid and certainly deserve to be tried out by anyone looking to add some spice to their gameplay.
FIFA 23's Legendary in particular has its issues in the aspect of the AI moving and passing the ball much quicker than players can react, leaving for a more frustrating experience than ever.
Basically, there are six difficulty levels in FIFA 23 - beginner, amateur, semi-professional, professional, world class and legendary.
Why, you may ask? Well, it's all to do with FIFA's new AcceleRATE system, which allows certain body archetypes to move and run in different ways than before.
The second man and the second man press towards the attacker are back in FIFA 23. Because of this, you can put extra pressure on the opposing team. To do this, you need to use R1 on the PlayStation and RT on the Xbox when defending.
Liverpool. The most staunch defense in FIFA 23 belongs to Liverpool. This has much to do with center back Virgil van Dijk (90 OVR), the game's highest-rated defender.
Legacy Defending: As before, there are two types of defensive styles in FIFA 20. Tactical Defense, which is a more manual scheme, is the default style, but you can change it to Legacy Defending in the settings. Some players find Legacy easier because it is less demanding in terms of timing.
The Ball Roll is perhaps the simplest FIFA 23 Skill Move, but it is also one of the most important, and every player should learn it. The Ball Roll is performed simply by flicking the right stick to the right or the left, in either direction. The player will then roll the ball to either the left or the right.
New to FIFA 23, the Heel to Ball roll has proven to be a popular addition to the Skill Move bank for top players, being a useful tool for breaking past defenders at speed. Hugely beneficial in and around the box to beat the last defender and open up space for a shot, this 4* Skill Move is certainly one to master.
Leeds United is easily going to be one of the hardest teams for players to manage in the Premier League. While the team certainly has a ton of talent, FIFA 23 is a game all about the numbers... and Leeds United suffers as a result.
Apparently the only difference is Ultimate boosts stats, but both are roughly the same in terms of difficulty. Legendary is really hard this year so am delighted.
Does chemistry matter in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team? Player chemistry is not as impactful on their in-game performance in the latest title compared to its predecessors. This is primarily due to the fact that low player chemistry in FIFA 23 does not deteriorate the card attributes and stats.
How do you stop a 4-3-3 formation? The 4-3-3 structure ticks most boxes both in and out of possession. However, there are ways of stopping even the most well-oiled 4-3-3 machine. One way to counter a high-pressing 4-3-3 structure is by playing around the press, rather than through it.
