And thanks to his spartan training, which further augumented due to his demigod status, and being the son of zeus, he was already an impressive soldier. Once he absorbed the power of hope, this only bolstered his strength to new heights, enough to kill Ares himself.
Out of all the Gods of War, Kratos was the most powerful and fearsome one, since he had the powers of Pandora's Box, the powers of the God of War that belonged to Ares, and plenty of weapons and magic from the other gods and the knowledge to use the godly powers by Athena after the death of his brother.
While he wouldn't know it for most of his life, Kratos was a demigod as he is the son of Zeus, but he would later become a full-on god, the God of War to be precise, after killing Ares. After years of serving the Greek gods, Kratos became disillusioned, and resentment towards the gods grew strong.
The main character, Kratos, is a former demigod, along with his brother, Deimos, being the sons of Zeus and Callisto. Because of that, they possessed great physical god-powers. Like another demigod, Hercules, Kratos eventually ended up becoming a full God himself, but in Hercules' case it only happened in mythology.
Being the son of Zeus would mean instant Super Strength, and Kratos is a supreme level one at that. His feats of strength are stuff of legend.
1 Weakness: His Nightmares
Up until God of War III, Kratos is plagued by nightmares, which partially explains why he's so vulnerable to illusions and mind tricks. It also, of course, explains his unquenchable rage.
It is documented that Greek gods grow stronger with age, and audiences have seen that with the sheer power and invulnerability of Old Kratos.
Kratos was a Demi-god in God of War 1 and upon killing Ares was promoted by Zeus to be the new God of War. Kratos then goes on his adventure through God of War 2, reobtains the blade of Olympus, by doing so he should of gotten his diety power back thus becoming a god once more.
Moreover, Mimir had warned Kratos time and again about Odin's treachery. Thus, Kratos decided that it was in their best interests to not get into any kind of agreement with Odin, having had his fair share of ill experiences with other gods.
In a cutscene from the first game. After it's revealed that the village that he just burned down had his wife and daughter inside, the ashes swirled around him and stuck to his skin, turning it white. It was so that anyone that looked at him knew what he had done.
The evils of the box also caused Zeus to develop an intense fear of Kratos, whom he now realized was the "Marked Warrior" foretold in the Oracle's prophecy that would perpetuate the cycle of patricide which led to Zeus overthrowing his own father Cronos.
A common consensus is that training to achieve Kratos's physique would likely require a smart approach of exercises such as overhead presses, rows, pullups, and deadlifting.
Ares and Athena interrupted the childhood training of Kratos and Deimos in Sparta and kidnapped Deimos. Kratos attempted to stop Ares, but Ares swept him aside and scarred him across his right eye.
4 Saitama Can Literally Beat Kratos With A Single Punch
Like Kratos, Saitama possesses inhuman strength and endurance, but unlike the God of War, he has unparalleled speed and reflexes.
In Norse mythology Kratos can lift thors hammer as there is no such worthiness enchantment as in the mcu. People with sufficient strength can lift it such as giants(or other gods) who have stolen his hammer on multiple occasions.
Why is Zeus the strongest god? Zeus is the strongest of the gods in the Ancient Greek religion because he has both power and intelligence. He is able to ensure that he is not replaced by another, more powerful deity. He is also able to ensure the allegiance of many other gods by giving them rights and privileges.
Blaming Kratos for having brought the war to Asgard and for the destruction to his family, the God of Thunder was blinded by anger and refused to listen to his enemies, who unsuccessfully urged him to stop fighting.
Odin will soon figure out that Kratos killed Heimdall, and that will surely lead to war. In the brief period of time before that happens, Atreus wants to head to Asgard to help Odin complete the mask. That can both distract Odin and allow Atreus to learn more of his plans -- and possibly steal the mask, too.
With Odin not technically dead, as his soul is trapped inside Atreus' marble, Kratos hands it over to Freya, explaining that he would never rob her of the choice between life and death again, leaving Odin's fate in Freya's hands. No longer needing Odin's death to make her whole, she hands the marble back to Atreus.
However, Kratos did not kill all the gods, and there are close to a dozen Olympians that managed to survive Kratos' path of destruction.
They add, too, that “10 years of service makes Kratos around 38 when he becomes the God of War.” This would, therefore make him around 50 years old by the end of God of War III, when he had been God of War for 12 years. There you have it. Kratos is likely around 1,055 years old and still kicking all sorts of arse.
Kratos is the Olympian god of force. In the 20th century, the Titan Typhon banished all the Olympians to the Land of Shades, but Hercules defeated Typhon and restored the gods to Olympus.
Yet kratos's strongest feat was in GoW2 i believe in which he resisted the force of the mghty titan atlas and khronos from crushing him. Atlas was cursed to forvever hold the earth atop his shoulders, and failed to crush kratos. This strength feat equates to around 300–400 quintillion tons, (i think?)
Why did Kratos become weak in Ragnarok? The harsh winter and the lack of real motivation for combat might be some of the reasons why this new Kratos feels a bit less powerful than the one from the Greek days — even if he's still more than capable of beating the daylights out of a god or two.
Based on those two dates, and assuming that Kratos is in his 30's at the time of God Of War I, then it can be estimated that Kratos age is ~1050 years old by the start of God of War (2018).
