This movie didn't have anything that stuck out as incredibly disturbing, so I say if your kid wants to see it and are either mature enough to handle the ideas the movie is centred around (serial killers, sex trafficking, mental health), or are about 13 or older, they should be totally fine.
The MPAA rating has been assigned for “language throughout.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes many scenes of women wearing revealing outfits, we observe the discovery of several bodies and the skeletal remains of one body are seen, there are discussions of murder and serial murder, discussions of bi-polar ...
This show for sure brings adult themes. Overall, I highly recommend this tv show as it is one of my favorites, but be cautious as the show definitely gets intense and maybe quite scary. I'd say 12-13 for starters.
The Lost Girl - Book 1: Bella's Story: Books for Girls Aged 9-12.
So it can be violent at times but if you are 13 years old or higher. And you handled shows and movies like that before then I'm sure you can handle it. There is some swearing in episodes but there isn't to much of that either. Also even if there was a lot and I'm just forgetting.
Throughout the film expect tons of mature and graphic elements including numerous sex scenes, a scene of bloody violence, language and some disturbing depictions of staged rape. VIOLENCE: SEVERE Up to the end of the film, violence is tame and relatively mild.
What's the Stranger Things Age Rating? First, it's worth noting that the maker of Stranger Things, Netflix, has rated it TV-14. That means they don't think it's appropriate for anyone under 14 to watch it. Of course, not all 14-year-olds are the same.
We'd stick with 17 and up for the YOU series on Netflix. If you have a teen who digs horror, this will appeal to them as Joe is a hard character to hate (it's true, we're sorry to say it!). But there is quite a bit of nudity and sexual content that may be a stopping issue for your family.
Yes, it does have some sexual content in it, but there's no real nudity shown. There is drug use and drinking shown in this movie as well, but it is rated PG-13 for a reason.
Parents need to know that The Lost Girls is a fantasy drama that develops on J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan story, with some character's problematic behavior potentially requiring careful conversations with younger viewers.
During this film we see young Vada begin to grow up. Unfortunately, an unexpected death will either drive her back into her previous loneliness, or give her the strength to tell the ones she loves that she cares about them. We award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to this film for ages twelve and above.
It's not a happy story, and it's not a happy film, yet it doesn't leave you sad exactly, so much as pensive. This doesn't mean the film failed to exact empathy in its viewers, though. It just means that despite the abject sadness that underpins Lost Girls, the story is bigger than the movie it's in.
No. However, the BBFC considers the content of 12A rated films to be suitable for children aged 12 and over, and we would not recommend taking very young children to see them.
Films classified 12A contain material that is not generally suitable for children aged under 12. No one younger than 12 may see a 12A film in a cinema unless accompanied by an adult. Adults planning to take a child under 12 to view a 12A film should consider whether the film is suitable for that child.
According to the Motion Picture Association, the PG-13 label means the movie is fine for kids over the age of thirteen. It may not, however, be appropriate for children under thirteen because of language, violence, nudity, and other mature content. But some parents say many PG-13 movies make them uncomfortable.
Restricted: R - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. Contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their young children with them.
A 15 rating means nobody under 15 is allowed full stop. 12A films are the ones where younger kids can go with a parent/ adult. Can a 12 year old watch a movie? Unaccompanied children of any age may watch, but parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger, or more sensitive, children.
Crude or Profane Language: This PG-13 release doesn't use the f-word, but there's significant profanity and sexual innuendo throughout. Drug and Alcohol Content: Teens throw a keg party. Kat drinks to excess, which leads her to climb on a table and dance seductively.
The short answer is simple: "Squid Game" is not appropriate for kids under the age of 17.
Netlfix's age rating for Demon Slayer covers a broad range of material, which garners it an overall TV-MA rating because of occasional nudity. Each individual season earns its own rating. The "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve" arc (Season 1 on Netflix) is rated TV-14 for fear, gore, violence and language.
There is a lot of drinking and smoking, Deadpool gets very drunk in one scene, and there are a few smoking scenes. Overall, it's a very funny superhero movie and I love it, but it's absolutely not for kids. 4 people found this helpful.
Adding to the pressure is the company's artistic director (Vincent Cassel), her mother's (Winona Ryder) expectations and a flirtatious rival (Mila Kunis). Why is The Black Swan rated R? The MPA rated The Black Swan R for strong sexual content, disturbing violent images, language and some drug use.
Parents need to know that this hip comedy with fun plot twists will interest teens, but it's meant for adult viewers. The plot revolves around drug use and graphic sexual situations and the film barely squeaks by with an R-rating.
