Overall Abilities: Yoriichi is the strongest
But if we are talking about the human form, then it's a big fat NO, because Tanjiro has just mastered the Sun Breathing whereas Yoriichi is the inventor of it, also he's way more powerful and holds an unfathomable battle intellect, larger than any Demon Slayer in history, so in conclusion, no one is remotely close to ...
He was born with every buff. That makes him stronger than anyone. Michikatsu on the other hand is his copy, but without buffs. Like he awakened the mark only when he was adult, and he still was the 2nd strongest slayer in gen 1, which is second strongest generation of pillars.
Yoriichi has more speed, battle IQ (because of the see through world), habilities against demons (red blade, see through world, mark and selfless state). Muzan has more destructive power overall but even then I think yoriichi has more grip strength. Yoriichi has been painted by the author to BE STRONGER than Muzan.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni is the strongest demon slayer character to have ever existed in the series. He is also the only person that Muzan was ever afraid of. He invented the original breathing styles that later branched out into the ones that Harshiras use to date.
5) Yoriichi
That being said, there is no doubt that he is the strongest character in the series. Case in point: he was the only one who could single-handedly take on Muzan and drive him to a corner. Yoriichi would be able to defeat every single Hashira on this list without breaking a sweat.
Rimuru Tempest becomes a God towards the end of the series and can travel back in time and travel between worlds. His space-time abilities alone would be enough to beat Yoriichi.
Many Kimetsu no Yaiba fans deduce that Yoriichi is Tanjiro's father, but that isn't the case. However, Yoriichi is responsible for teaching Tanjiro's ancestors the Hinokami Kagura, which has been passed down for generations.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
Yoriichi lived till old age, likely due to him having been born with the mark and thereby avoiding the curse altogether. Gyomei on the other hand did not activate his Mark until he was already older than 25. It was speculated that when he awoke his Mark during battle that he would likely die within hours.
Tanjiro's connection to Yoriichi is not through blood relation, but through their similar appearances, which is due to the divine nature of Sun Breathing. (Also Read: Did Demon Slayer hire a Bollywood director for Season 3? Fans speculate!)
Yoriichi Stomps no- low difficulty. Even if its a 1v6 battle. Despite of all upper moon's strength, there is no way they'll be able to beat Yoriichi owing to the difference in overall combat capabilities. He cannot beat someone who could overwhelm Kibutsuji Muzan.
Tanjirō's resemblance to Yoriichi (like from Muzan's perspective), would trigger his memories and cause him to accept death. AND since its against Kokushibō and not Muzan, there's not poison that'll mess him up. So I would say Tanjiro would win.
Yoriichi was in a Selfless State when facing Muzan. This meant that he had no emotions, bloodlust or animosity, making it very difficult for Muzan to gauge his true powers or predict his moves. it's so satisfying to see muzan still so scared of yoriichi, even centuries later.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the first swordsmen to ever use Breathing Styles, once nearly killed Muzan with Sun-Breathing, and Muzan has been both physically and psychologically scarred ever since.
1 Yoriichi Tsugikuni (Demon Slayer)
Yoriichi's mastery of the Sun Breathing technique, combined with his incredible speed and agility, made him a formidable opponent for Muzan.
Does Muzan have a favorite demon? Despite the fact that Muzan. is always shown to have disdain for his creations, Muzan does in fact have a favorite. On that list is Naki, made due to a convenient blood demon.
Shortly before his death of at least 85 years in age, he battled his older twin brother, Kokushibo who turned into a demon.
Is upper rank one Tanjiro's father? No, they are not related. Tanjiro, by PURE COINCIDENCE, heavily resembles Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the creator of Breath swordsmanship, the only other person to use Sun Breathing, and the only person Muzan ever feared.
Tanjuro Kamado a recurring flashback hero from Demon Slayer : Kimetsu No Yaiba. He was the husband of Kie Kamado, and the father of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta. Tanjuro was a flame dancer who used to dance the Hinokami Kagura during the winter.
Tanjiro wasn't born with this scar on his forehead. Rather, he acquired it when tackling his younger brother out of the way of a falling pot of boiling tea. At the beginning of Demon Slayer, the scar was a light-pink, circular mark.
Can Deku beat Yoriichi? If we are talking about pure strength, skill, and speed, Yoriichi wins. However, Deku can float, store energy, and keep using Fa Jin until it wears Yorichii out. If it was a battle on land, Yoriichi would win, but Deku beats Yoriichi here.
It was because after being shown his overwhelming power, Muzan avoided him as best as he could. He didn't have another chance to kill him. If he did, he would take it. Yoriichi: Just a normal human with extremely good combat speed, his travel speed is as slow as a normal human since anime logic.
Obviously Satoru Gojo. Yoriichi is by no means one to be underestimated, but his style is for killing demons. And seeing how Gojo is a human, not a demon, I doubt Yoriichi would have much desire to fight him. Even if he did, Gojo's limitless can overpower him any day.
