A diet too high in carbohydrates, protein, or sugar can upset the balance of bacteria in the caecum causing the production of too many cecotropes. The rabbit ignores these extra dropping as they contain unneeded nutrients and they become stuck in the fur or squished on the floor instead.
Cecotropes. These poops are completely normal, usually bunnies eat them to ensure that they get enough protein and B vitamins in their diet. Sometimes bunnies will make more than normal when they're stressed or are getting too much sugar in their diet.
Essentially, rabbits produce two types of droppings: fecal pellets and cecotropes. The rabbit consumes the cecotropes as they exit the anus. The cecotropes are nutrient packed, dietary items that are essential for the rabbit's health.
The most important part of the treatment of uncomplicated ISC is to feed grass hay to your pet. This should be the only food given until the stools return to normal. You must remove all other food items from the diet including pellets and treats.

If cecotropes are not ingested, the rabbit may experience dietary insufficiencies. Additionally, note that a rabbit may not eat cecotropes due to dental or other oral pain as well as obesity or restricted movement (e.g., spondylosis) that prevents the bunny from physically reaching the anus to eat the cecotropes.
As for rabbits that eat their own excrements, if it affects the flesh of the animal, then it is makruh and not haram, for it is a matter that comes afterwards (and isn't permanent), the most it can do is changes the flesh of the animal. Hence, it doesn't change its ruling to prohibited.
If you don't have access to cecotropes, add a pinch of acidophilus (a probiotic) to the formula to promote healthy gut flora. This is particularly important for rabbits under one week of age.
Skin problems. When caecotrophs are caking your rabbit's bottom, it will become very uncomfortable and may be infected. Skin will crack and fur will be lost. You need to keep the area clean, but only wash as much of the area as you need to and dry as thoroughly as possible to avoid further chapping.
The belly of constipated rabbits is usually inflamed and lacks the characteristic sound of peristaltic bowel movements. In addition, the rabbit is likely to be lethargic, without energy or lying in its cage. You may also grind your aching teeth.
An imbalance of the normal bacteria and fungi in the gastrointestinal tract is a common reason this can occur. In young rabbits, we get concerned that parasites can cause this imbalance leading to poor nutritional absorption, which can result in changes in the character of the stool such as the clear gel you observed.
While an occasional stray poo is nothing to worry about, a sudden rejection of the rabbit litter box can be frustrating. Your rabbit's potty habits can be thrown off by a change in routine, new scenery, unfamiliar humans or animals, an issue with the litter box itself, a medical problem, or even a new life stage.
A rabbit's feces should be medium green, dark green, dark brown, or nearly black, although they can sometimes be more tan or wheat-colored. You shouldn't be concerned if the color seems a little light as long as your rabbits' poop is consistently colored.
Rabbits with constipation should be seen by a vet without delay. Very small doses of olive oil given orally may help with mild constipation. Remove the rabbit's dry food, feed more hay and fresh vegetables and ensure it has plenty of fresh water. Encourage the rabbit to exercise.
Through reverse peristalsis, the food is forced back into the cecum where it is broken down into simple sugars (i.e. monosaccharides) by bacterial fermentation. The cecotrope then passes through the colon, the anus, and is eliminated by the animal and then reingested.
Baby rabbits should be fed Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR) or goat milk, which you can buy at pet stores, or sometimes even a local veterinarian's office. Because rabbit milk is the most caloric of all mammals, we add in one tablespoon of 100% heavy whipping cream (no sugar) to each can of KMR.
Permissible meats and animals

Frog meat is considered as haraam (non-halal) according to some Islamic dietary laws. Those who consider it haraam cite the hadith that prohibits the killing of frogs, together with ants, bees, and seabirds.
Baby rabbits can't produce cecotropes at first, but need them to jump-start their digestive system when they switch from milk to solid foods. Without cecotropes, they don't have the gut flora necessary to digest foods properly, and they die a painful death.
You should also look for the presence of normal second pass poo. If you don't see normal single pellet poo or it is greatly reduced, this can also be a sign of a serious condition where the rabbit's digestive system stops moving – this is called gastric stasis.
A poor diet may be the single, most common problem in causing a rabbit to have a dirty bottom. Rabbits who are fed too much concentrated mix and therefore dont eat enough hay or are too full to eat their caecotrophs are likely to get a mucky bottom from the uneaten caecotrophs as they build up around their bottom.
It's extremely important to contact your vet straight away if you notice your rabbit is eating less than normal. There are many different problems that could have caused your rabbit to stop eating, but some of the most common include dental disease, stress, and gut problems.
