This is simply due to the fact that you will have to care for more than one piercing. If your piercings are located next to each other, once one gets inflamed, it could pass this along to the other piercings. As for cartilage piercings, getting both ears pierced at the same time can come with difficulties.
It is not uncommon to have multiple piercings performed on the same day. We recommend not getting more than four piercings in one session, especially if you're getting them on the same ear. Getting multiple piercings can also cause increased swelling during healing and can prolong healing time.
If you had an ear piercing recently, it's a good idea to wait for your piercing to heal before getting a second hole. For earlobe piercings, there's a six week healing period before you can start swapping out earrings. For cartilage piercings, you have 12 weeks until you can safely change your earrings.
Depending on how many you get and how many more you're wanting, around 4-6 weeks is the recommended time. It's important to let your body do its magical thing and not overwhelm it with too much to heal at once.
You can get both parts of a double helix piercing at the same time. This is widely recommended so that the placement can be aligned and they can both heal simultaneously.
Whether you're getting one or many, it's a good idea to have a think about where you want your piercings on your ear. If you want the option to add more later, spacing and position are really important. Note: Most places will only recommend you do a maximum of 2 – 3 piercings in one session.
While a normal forward helix wraps around the cartilage on your upper ear, what gives the uncommon piercings lasting power is that they can be done in multiples. Double forward helix piercings—or even triple—allow you to get multiple piercings at once for a truly unique and interesting ear piercing.

ROOK. Rook piercings are located in the cartilage at the uppermost part of the inner ear. The location does go through a thick bit of cartilage so it can be more painful and harder to heal than many other spots on the ear.
Three to six months for many, but up to a year for some. This is a committed healing process, and because of the location it's a bit involved. Helix piercings are super cool, but you've got to take your time healing. And that's going to mean not sleeping on that side of your head.
There's no "limit" necessarily as to how many piercings you can get at once, but most reputable piercing professionals will probably keep you around three (3) or four (4). This, of course, depends on size, location, and your personal pain tolerance, but we'll dive into that a bit more later.

Although the dots may look small and far apart, keep in mind that you will want at least ¼” between piercings to accommodate different earring styles.
The healing process takes at least six to eight weeks. Most body piercings require at least six months to a year before the jewelry can be removed for any length of time without the risk of the hole closing.

Navel. Navel piercings take the longest to heal, usually taking anywhere between 6 to 12 months. It is important to keep the area clean and dry, and avoid changing jewelry too often. Avoiding tight clothing and swimming pools is important, as these can cause infections and irritation.
Mandibular Piercing:
This is an extremely dangerous piercing to get done. There are a number of important Nerves and Viens in the area and due to the depth of the location, internal bleeding could occur.
You can get multiple piercings at once, but you have to be able to properly care for them. Even though there's really no limit, many piercers recommend no more than four piercings at one time. You can also stagger your piercing sessions weeks apart to make the process easier.
Unfortunately, as the saying goes, you can certainly have too much of a good thing. Having multiple piercings healing all at once can spell disaster for that “ear goal” you've been dreaming of.
What is a medusa piercing? A medusa or philtrum piercing positions a stud in the center groove above the cupid's-bow of the lip. A piercer usually fits the piercing with a long labret stud. Once the piercing heals, a person can exchange the stud for a shorter stud to avoid causing damage to their teeth and gums.

Piercings must therefore be accomplished by using excessive pressure over a larger surface area in order to force the metal shaft through the skin. The effect on the body is more like a crush injury than a piercing and causes similar tissue damage.
When it comes to cartilage piercings, the helix is considered the least painful as the cartilage is thinner in this area. However, it is more painful than the usual pinch felt in lobe piercings. On average helix piercings are around 4/10 on the pain scale, but this should be swift.
