Lola was beheaded in Spiders in a Jar after conspiring to assassinate Elizabeth under what she believed to be Mary's orders. The assassination attempt was revealed to be the work of John Knox at the end of the episode. Lady Lola was a member of the House of Narcisse by marriage.
However, her husband's power-grabbing nature soon resurfaced and drove Lola away from him, all the way to English court. Lola found an unforeseen friend in Queen Elizabeth for a while, until she betrayed Elizabeth on what she thought was an order from her Queen. Lady Lola was thereafter beheaded for treason.
John Philip is the illegitimate son born to his father, King Francis, and his mother, Lady Lola. He has been given lands and titles, including Baron of Velay. He lost his father to a gang of Scottish assassins and his mother was decapitated not long after, making him an orphan. He is now being raised at French court.
Recently, Lola slept with Francis betraying Mary causing their friendship to fall apart. Lola was loyal to Mary when she went to English's court which ultimately costed her life.

Olivia gets lost in the tunnels and Clarissa burns out her candle. Olivia returns in Dirty Laundry. She is found by Bash in the woods and he takes her to Nostradamus so that he can treat her wounds.
Kenna leaves court to have her child outside France, and on her journey meets the young King of Imereti. Queen Mary and King Francis renew their relationship and make love.
