The concept of power up Gears has been a core part of the One Piece franchise and allowed Luffy to take on the most difficult of foes. Fans speculate Gear 6 is inevitable – and with the series winding up to its conclusion, it could play a pivotal part in the final conflict.
Gears 6 is set to be the next video game that The Coalition works on. The Canadian-based Microsoft studio has reportedly shifted its full attention to the next entry in the Gears Of War series. This is due to two other games that were in development having been supposedly cancelled.
His body gained freedom and durability far surpassing those of his previous Gear transformations, to the point of becoming somehow cartoonishly malleable. Luffy was also enabled to increase his body and limbs to such a massive size that he could grab and manhandle Kaido despite the latter's enormous size as a dragon.
By gaining these two abilities and spreading them to his environment, Luffy could essentially create Gear Fifth. In theory, Gear Fifth is entirely possible and would see Luffy make use of vulcanized rubber and, at the same time, logia-like powers of intangibility when needed.
One Piece confirms that Luffy has already moved past his most powerful transformation by further evolving the abilities of his Gear Fifth.
Gear 10th Luffy is Luffy's ultimate form from the upcoming speculative fan-made sequel to One Piece, Son of the Pirate King. Luffy has continuously trained his haki and Devil Fruit powers during his time as Pirate King until he achieved this gear.
1) Kaido. Kaido did in fact lose to Luffy's Gear 5 at the end of the Wano Country arc. However, keep in mind that he withstood multiple waves of strong enemies before this final encounter. Luffy was also completely worn out after the fight and fell into a coma for about a week.
With his devil-fruit powers, Luffy is able to manipulate his rubbery body into various forms, which he calls “Gears.” Currently, Luffy has managed to unlock up to five gear forms, and his fifth gear is known to be his peak form. He was able to unlock Gear 5 after awakening his devil fruit.
Luffy's greatest power-up to date is, undoubtedly, Conqueror's Haki coating. During his fight against Kaido, Luffy observed Kaido coating his weapon in Conqueror's Haki. After this realization hit him, he was able to use a crude version of this technique himself and could coat his fists in Conqueror's Haki.
Gear 5 is Luffy's strongest form, here are its strongest attacks. Monkey D. Luffy is one of the Four Emperors of the Sea in the One Piece world, a title he received after defeating the strongest creature alive, Kaido, in the Wano Country arc.
He has got some terrific powers up his sleeve, such as his Gears, which give him access to some of the Six Powers as well. Using Gear Second, Luffy gains the ability to use Soru and move at blinding speeds, overwhelming even a Six Powers master in doing so.
No. Luffy can't defeat Goku.
In addition, Luffy still has his standard weakness to cutting attacks.
Remember each car will be geared slightly differently, but a good rule of thumb for changing gears is that first gear is for speeds up to 10 mph, second gear is for speeds up to 15 mph, third gear is for speeds up to 35 mph, fourth gear is for speeds up to 55 mph, fifth gear is for speeds up to 65 mph, and sixth gear ...
The more he laughed, the better he seemed to fight. Throughout the clash against Kaido, fans could see him laughing even though he was fighting a high-intensity battle, which just goes to show how important it is to his character.
He can also use the advanced versions of Observation, Armament, and Conqueror Haki. After receiving training from Silvers Rayleigh, the former right-hand of the Pirate King, Luffy became really powerful. He easily beat Hody and Caesar, and after unleashing his Gear 4, he was able to overwhelm Doflamingo.
Kaido is one of the best fights that fans have seen in One Piece over the years, if not the best. The fight is, undoubtedly, the most difficult one that Luffy has fought so far. Kaido managed to defeat Luffy three times. For the first time, Luffy faced defeat against him Kuri and was thrown in prison.
Gomu Gomu no Gigant
In Gear 3, he can gigantify his arms. However, Luffy's Gear 5 allows him to expand to the size of a real giant. Since his body is proportionately massive, he can use his usual techniques with much more strength behind them.
Gear 5: Primary Techniques
Gomu Gomu no Gigant (Gum-Gum Giant): Luffy can become a giant using this technique. Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun (Gum-Gum Bajrang Gun): Luffy can inflate his fist as big as the Onigashima island and can imbue both the armament and conqueror's haki for this attack.
Luffy's Gear 5 makes him incredibly powerful, more than most Naruto characters. In fact, it's arguable he could defeat all of them, bar the absolute strongest ones.
I don't think you can simply say "he can beat an admiral" because even within the Admirals, there's such a huge difference in power. I personally think that Luffy could probably just barely beat Aokoji now (or in the near future), and he could fight but not beat Kizaru, and has no chance of beating Akainu.
Mihawk is said to be close to the same level as Shanks and is even dubbed as the greatest swordsman, so to say Luffy would defeat Mihawk is still debatable in the eyes of many fans.
1) Marshall D.
Blackbeard is arguably the biggest counter to Luffy's Gear Fifth. Most characters can only hope to survive it. Meanwhile, Blackbeard can just cancel these Devil Fruit powers with his Yami Yami no Mi.
