Roos are not house pets, they don't ride in cars, walk on leashes or do tricks. They are shy and easily stressed in strange situations.
Kangaroos are wild animals. It's important to remember that while they can make interesting pets, they have never been domesticated, so their behaviour is driven mostly by instinct.
It depends. Most wild kangaroos wouldn't let you get near enough to pet them. They'd just hop away as you approach, nervous at your presence. If the kangaroo was cornered or a territorial male, then you would get attacked.

If you feel threatened by a kangaroo, move well clear. Try not to attract the kangaroo's attention and keep your head and arms low. The lifespan of kangaroos averages at six years in the wild to in excess of 20 years in captivity, varying by the species.

Kangaroos are usually playful, friendly and active, and thrive on movement and variety. They do have a tendency to 'Leap before they look' which sometimes get them into trouble, both at school and at work, but can also make them fun to be around.
Our kangaroos and wallabies are very friendly and may approach you if you offer them food. You may pat them but they prefer not to be touched on their heads but enjoy a gentle stroke on their backs. The kangaroos used gazes to communicate with the human instead of attempting to open the box themselves, a behaviour that is usually expected for domesticated animals.
“We've previously thought only domesticated animals try to ask for help with a problem. But kangaroos do it too. If they can't open the box, they look at the human and back to the container.
The grief and loss they experience is no different to if someone came in and gunned down your mother, your sister, your father, your son or your daughter. I have known kangaroos to just wither away and slowly die when they have lost their loved ones, just like we would do if it happened to us.

Plants with oily or fragrant foliage. Plants with high oil content (including some which have fragrant foliage) include species of Eremophila, Prostanthera, Westringia, Eriostemon, and Myoporum appear almost totally unpalatable to 'roos.
