Jinns, by their nature, are invisible. Dogs are highly perceptive and thereby more likely to spot the jinns. Your dog can sense the energies jinns, and feel anxious or even disturbed, at the prospect of dealing with the jinn.
Since jinn are afraid of iron, they are unable to remove it with their own power. Ibn al-Nadim, Muslim scholar of his Kitāb al-Fihrist, describes a book that lists 70 jinn led by Fuqṭus (Arabic: فقْطس), including several jinn appointed over each day of the week.
It is confirmed in a Hadith that dogs see what human beings cannot see.
