Google Hangouts app lets friends track your location.
Open hangouts on a laptop or tablet. Open a chat to display messages, in an email form. Scroll the page to the very bottom of the screen until you see, last logged in date, underneath will be a " details" icon. Click on it, it will show you the past 72 hours of log on and each IP address it was used from.
The messages and attachments you send in classic Hangouts are stored securely in our world-class data centers. To let conversation participants view message history, we store messages. Data is encrypted in-transit and at-rest. If you choose to access these files offline, we store this info on your device.
You can control what location information your phone can use. Open your phone's Settings app. Under "Personal," tap Location access. At the top of the screen, turn Access to my location on or off.

Google Hangouts can be monitored using two methods: uMobix or mSpy. As discussed in the tutorial above, all you need to do is install either one of these spy apps and then go to the chat app you want to monitor.
Hangouts can show you the status of other users, including what device they are using at that moment. This is great as it means you can be sure you're not going to annoy someone by disturbing them in the middle of a phone call.
One way to tell if someone is checking your location on your iPhone is to look at the Location Services icon in the status bar. This icon will be active when Location Services is turned on. If you see this icon, your location is being shared with apps or other devices.
