Magnesium oil is safe to leave on your hair and scalp without rinsing. If you do choose to rinse, be sure to leave it on for at least 30 minutes so it's absorbed.

Give it a try: Add a few spritzes of magnesium oil or a squeeze of the gel to your scalp in the shower, massage it in thoroughly, then wash it out. This is probably the second most popular “off-label” use for our magnesium products, and for good reason.

We recommend washing your hands after applying and avoiding contact with eyes and mucus membranes. It's not necessary to wash off elsewhere, but it's up to you! If you prefer to wash the magnesium oil off, wait at least 10 minutes to allow the magnesium to fully absorb. Can magnesium oil be used as a mouthwash?
Apply anywhere on the body avoiding delicate areas such as the eyes. If your sleep is disrupted, apply 2 – 3 sprays of Magnesium Sleep Body Spray direction to the areas of concern (often the calf or the feet) and massage in.

Magnesium oil can help you sleep better by calming your brain and easing a racing mind. Magnesium can also aid with sleep efficiency, as well as sleep time and start. The benefits of magnesium oil on feet are well-supported and said to have a soothing, whole-body effect.
We generally recommend taking magnesium 1-2 hours before bed to support sleep.
When you use products that contain magnesium sulfate you may find that your hair is curlier and bouncier on day one, but with repeated use, later in the week your hair may feel dry and hard to work with.
Epsom salt, or magnesium sulfate, is safe to use on your hair. It's an affordable alternative to expensive volumizers or other hair care products. Pampering yourself in the shower can be good selfcare.
