Marvel fans know that Spider-Man is a strong superhero, but the company has just confirmed that Peter Parker is strong enough to defeat the Incredible Hulk in a one-on-one brawl.
Spider-Man's agility and speed are two of his most notable abilities, and he could use them to his advantage in a fight against the Hulk. By using his agility and speed to evade the Hulk's attacks, Spider-Man could wear him out, as the Hulk would have to keep chasing him.
Spider-Man used the Infinity Gauntlet against Thanos and restored the universe after he snapped half of life from existence - but nobody remembers. One of Spider-Man's greatest victories is a fight his fellow heroes don't remember, as the web-slinger's defeat of Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet is only known by him.
Fans know Spider-Man is strong, but Marvel confirms Peter Parker has the strength to not only survive a Hulk attack, but take him down too. Warning: contains spoilers for Devil's Reign: Spider-Man #1!
Like his namesake, Spider-Man's strength and agility stand far above those of the average human, allowing him to lift nearly ten tons and to leap and move at incredible speeds with high accuracy. He also heals faster than normal when injured, though he is not completely immune to viruses and other human ailments.
Spider-Man may be one of the strongest Marvel heroes around, but Captain America was still the best soldier alive. Cap's experience always beat Spider-Man's raw strength.
Spider-Man is stronger than Batman and would ultimately win the fight against him. He is more powerful, faster, and due to his high intelligence, Batman would have trouble devising a plan that would work against him.
2 Iron Man Has Never Been Able To Beat Spider-Man
However, he's never been able to do so. When it comes right down to it, Spider-Man is just too good for Iron Man. Iron Man depends more on his technology than anything else and can't really stand up to Spider-Man's sheer skill.
6 Hulk Lost His Match Against Dark Carnage
The resulting fight ended with Dark Carnage easily beating the Venom-possessed Hulk and assimilating the Venom symbiote into himself.
The Avengers and Fantastic Four died to stop him. During that ultimate sacrifice, Hulk also died. Jean Grey shut down Bruce Banner's brain, turning Hulk into a savage. The two ended up separated, and Hulk ended up in an irradiated cocoon, one that killed Hulk completely, which led to a new Hulk being horn.
He is covered in mortal flesh that can bruise and bleed. He doesn't possess any kind of invulnerability, like some of his superhero buddies. He relies on his speed and agility to stay out of the way of lethal hits.
Weakness: RAGE
While Hulk's rage makes him almost completely invulnerable and the strongest being in the entire universe, it also is a huge weakness. The increase of his power when in rage mode is massive. However, at the same time, he also loses almost all his intelligence when he grows angrier.
According to the Scientist Supreme, Peter has an IQ of over 250.
Spider-Man is stronger than Captain America, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Wolverine, Beast, and every other character that doesn't have super-human strength. But he's weaker than Thor, Hercules, Hulk, Wonder Man, Luke Cage, Thing, Captain Marvel (either of them), & Colossus.
The Joker would not be so foolish as to go head-to-head with Spider-Man. His various gadgets would not avail against Spidey's vastly superior strength and danger sense. Instead, he'd try to lay traps for him and target his family and friends and try to get him to mess up. In a head-to-head, the Joker loses.
Thanos's power, cunning, and years of experience have allowed him to outsmart and defeat some of the most powerful beings in the universe. All manners of beings have fallen before Thanos and while the Avengers are powerful, if Thanos really put his mind to it, he could end the Avengers at any moment.
Even without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos has proven himself to be a hugely powerful threat, often taking on entire teams of Avengers at once. However, it is with the Infinity Gauntlet that he can most consistently defeat the Avengers.
This revelation sheds light on how Wanda uses her powers, and she needs her sense of sight to control her hexes. If there's one superhero who can totally beat her, it would be Spider-Man. Remember when the Webslinger covered his foe's entire face with his web? That is one of his signature moves!
We see in the climactic battle scene (scene 43 on the DVD), that Spiderman can survive a fall of 80 stories without a single broken bone, concussion, or presumably any internal bleeding.
Spiderman has significantly greater physical strength than Captain America. Captain America has on occasion had Super Strength, but it's not usually been one of his major attributes or powers. He's an optimised human being, created by Erskine's Super Soldier serum, with phenomenal fighting skills, reflexes & agility.
This has allowed him to lift incredibly heavy objects, such as debris and cars. And being able to lift ten tons is impressive in the world of Marvel, as that makes him incredibly strong to the point that he is one of the strongest poster boys of Marvel Comics.
