Armed with his new tools for battle,
Thanos has god-like powers, which means he is definitely more powerful than any person on Earth and a good part of the galaxy. However, he is not a god. This was probably why Thor was not given a chance to defeat Thanos in the movie.
While the MCU Hulk was not able to defeat Thanos, his comic book counterparts pose a better chance to make an even fight particularly if Thanos does not wield the Infinity Gauntlet. These two titans in the Marvel Universe seem destined to do battle in some form or another.
7 Thor Is A God That Thanos Will Never Be
Thor eventually helps build Stormbreaker and nearly kills Thanos, who has a complete Infinity Gauntlet on. Thanos snaps half of all living things away before Thor can kill him, but in Endgame, Thor went for the head and killed Thanos.
9 Thor Is Stronger Than Thanos But That Doesn't Mean He Can Beat Him. Thor and Thanos have tangled several times over the years, with Thanos being one of the few beings that Thor can't beat in a fight.
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
Loki and Thor are both gods and have immense godly powers that make them somewhat impervious to harm, though they can be beaten; they can lose eyes (Thor) and they can die (Loki). If the metric is physical strength, then Thor is easily the winner.
In a Zeus vs Thor scenario, Zeus would probably end up the victor, but the same goes for his son, Hercules. Technically speaking, he's only a demigod, but, if any biceps could outsize Thor's, then it is the Herculators.
Thor's immense strength, combat prowess, control over lightning, and enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, make him a formidable opponent against Scarlet Witch. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, he demonstrated his ability to resist her reality-warping powers and even physically overpower her.
Thor is repeatedly vanquished by the 5 new Phoenix hosts over the course of 12 issues: Colossus, Namor, Cyclops, Magik, and Emma Frost. Colossus even manages to knock Mjolnir out of Thor's hands at one point, demonstrating the strength of Phoenix and why it should not be trifled with.
As per the user, the director of Avengers confirmed that Thanos was most scared of Iron Man. “Not because of his strength, not because of his power, not because of his power, but because of his suit,” he added.
Abomination – Emil Blonsky. A gamma-spawned monstrous powerhouse. The Hulk's primary physical rival.
The Asgardian Son of Odin was extremely close to ending Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. After gaining the powerful weapon Stormbreaker, Thor becomes the wielder of the most powerful weapon in the universe. Stormbreaker is capable of killing Thanos outright, and only Thor is currently worthy of wielding it.
Based on the analysis of powers, speed, strength, durability, and combat, we can safely say that Odin is stronger than Thanos and outmatches him in almost every aspect. Thanos might be among the most feared villains in the Marvel Universe, but he comes nowhere near when compared to All-Father Odin.
There have been several moments in the MCU that prove that Thor is actually the strongest Avenger. Chris Hemsworth debuted as Thor back in the MCU Phase 1's Thor, and has become one of the longest-running characters in the MCU, and so far, the only original Avenger to have four solo movies under his belt.
Using his weapon Mjølnir, Thor's strength is compounded, as he is able to swing his mighty hammer with great speed and force. Thor's strength is so great that he can throw his hammer with enough force to break through nearly any barrier, whether it be stone, metal or dark energy.
So long as the Spirit of Vengeance resides inside them, their human host has the potential to physically live forever. As an added bonus, they remain ageless. In Ghost Riders: Heavens on Fire #6, Johnny Blaze states that since God created the Ghost Riders, only God can destroy them.
By most accounts, Superman seemingly outclasses Thor in terms of raw strength, especially in earlier versions of the DC Universe. He's pulled planets, punched people into orbit and performed all sorts of wild feats of strength.
As Mighty Thor, she has almost the same powers as Thor Odinson himself, except she can wield the hammer (Mjolnir) better than others. But even with all the godly strength, there's one caveat in her turning into a God - the moment she puts the hammer down and stops being the Mighty Thor, she returns to her dying body.
While Thor is powerful and his strength is said to be unmatched, he is not strictly immortal like other mythological gods. He is susceptible both to aging and to being killed in battle. Like other Norse gods, he must consume special apples kept by the goddess Idun to keep from aging.
Thor wins. Not only is Thor a better combatant and more experienced, but he also can be stronger than Shazam by using Megingjord to augment his superhuman strength. Additionally, Thor is more invulnerable than Shazam and has a better understanding and grasp of magical and mystical energies.
Well, it's about even. Hercules' strength is rarely matched. There were times when he even overpowered the Incredible Hulk – a feat that not even Thor could complete. So, when it comes to physical strength, Hercules is the strongest.
Among these 2 heros, thor is more powerful than iron man. Tony stark is no more powerful without his armour, but thor is marvelous without his hammer(Mjolnir).
Captain America
Cap is one of the few mortals able to not only lift Mjolnir but wield its full power, making him someone who can beat Thor. Assuming the reason for their battle is because Thor is possessed or tricked, Cap would be able to use Mjolnir against him.
Loki also finally becomes worthy of Mjolnir, which he discovers when he reaches for it during a battle with the newly belligerent Thor. Loki once again became someone who has lifted Thor's hammer when it began to grow too heavy for Thor himself.
