However, much like all characters in The Quarry, with the right choices and decisions across each Chapter, it is entirely possible for Nick to be saved and ultimately cured of the werewolf curse.
Locking it in the freezer means that when the White Wolf is dead or the morning comes, Caleb will return to human form and die in the freezer. Regardless, this will also break the curse on Nick, who Caleb bit. This is the only way to help Nick not only survive the night and also break the curse on him.
Max, Nick and Laura are the only protagonists who always get infected and turn into werewolves. Emma, Dylan, and Jacob are the only protagonists who can get infected and able to turn into werewolves. Abigail, Ryan, and Kaitlyn are the only protagonists who can get infected, but never turn into werewolves.
It is best to shoot Nick since he will not die and run, but not shooting will lead to Nick decapitating Abigail.
He slams her to the wall many times, crushing her body, and then bites her head off, thus brutally killing his crush. When the cutscene ends, people will receive the Lovers' Quarrel Achievement. To keep her alive and get the Achievement, activate the Rewind option from the title menu.
However, much like all characters in The Quarry, with the right choices and decisions across each Chapter, it is entirely possible for Nick to be saved and ultimately cured of the werewolf curse.
If you ignore the interruption, we'll get a further two options: hide or follow voice. Both will lead us back to reuniting with Nick, so don't worry too much about what you choose. Abi will tell Nick that it was just because of the smoke from the fire and she needed some fresh air. Nick won't believe her.
It is still possible to save Dylan if the monster bites his hand by using Ryan to amputate it before the infection spreads. This is best done by choosing the CONFIDENT dialogue option and then the CHAINSAW to successfully cut Dylan's arm off.
7 Nick: The Nice Guy
Nick is the closest thing to an Everyman in The Quarry, with him being fairly unremarkable in terms of defining character traits. He's considered by the group as a nice guy with many of the characters rooting for him and Abigail to finally act upon their mutual crush.
Don't Stop Laura
Laura shoots the werewolf, which turns out to be Nick. As she used silver bullets, the shot will kill Nick. Laura will then be captured by Travis who heard the gunshot, moving the scene on. You'll now go to the fortune teller, so click here to skip ahead.
Appearance. Silas' human form can only be glimpsed very briefly at the end of the game if Laura chooses to kill him. He is a boy with albinism, and short white hair. His albinism carries over in his werewolf form, causing his appearance as a werewolf to be much paler, earning him the nickname "The White Wolf".
9 Dive In Or Help Abi
Jacob can either choose to help Abi, leaving Emma behind, or he can dive back into the lake for the rotor arm. If you choose to help Abi, Jacob doesn't end up finding her until she's already back with the group. If you choose to dive in, Emma will swim away assuming you abandoned her.
Unfortunately, should you not agree to free Jacob when prompted in Chapter 8, you will later sacrifice him to werewolf Nick in the cage beside him when the power is turned off.
The path will not be unlocked if Dylan's hand was not bitten in Chapter 5. This requires Abigail to leave the bags in Chapter 1.
The easiest way to kill Nick is by letting Laura shoot him in Chapter 8. By not intervening, players can also use this death to help them kill everyone in The Quarry. Though misfortune surrounds Nick in The Quarry, his life arguably has more impact on the other eight characters that any other survivor.
The three characters that will always be infected no matter what happens are Nick, Max, and Laura. During the game's prologue, Max is bitten by the werewolf Chris while exploring the Storm Shelter. In Chapter 3, Nick will always be attacked and bitten by Silas.
Nick and Abigail both have crushes each other at the beginning of the game, but are too shy to make any move. However, Nick soon is given the perfect opportunity to try to show his feelings to Abigail as they gather kindling.
Both Kaitlyn and Dylan have a crush on Ryan, made evident by Dylan's furtive flirting alongside Kaitlyn outwardly stating it to Jacob in Chapter 1.
Later in the game, Ryan will be asked if he prefers Dylan or Kaitlyn. If you made choices that were meant to advance their relationship, Ryan will admit that he's closer to Dylan than he is to Kaitlyn.
During Silas' attack on the radio hut, Dylan gets his left arm bitten, which prompts Ryan to possibly amputate it. It will then be bandaged by Kaitlyn. Alternatively, Dylan can be bitten in the forearm and/or arm by werewolf Emma and Silas, respectively.
Laura Kearney
Although she has at least four potential deaths in Chapters 9 and 10, the awesome female horror game protagonist Laura's inextricable link with Ryan makes her survival more difficult than many.
Laura must shoot Silas with a silver bullet to cure him of the infection.
If Jacob throws dirt at the Hunter: Jacob will distract the Hunter and buy himself enough time to escape. Either option will allow Jacob to make it back to the Firepit.
This causes Bobby to remove the infected finger using the gun, which freaks Ryan out. On the other hand, shooting Bobby will make him go away, but not before dropping a blood vial, which will be a key item in chapter 10. After that, both return to the bonfire, and the group tries to evaluate Nick's condition.
We'll be able to show the bite or hide it. Although this is presented as a major choice, it's completely inconsequential. If you don't show the bite, Ryan will notice it immediately, nixing the decision. It's another choice where you're better off picking how you feel your Laura would respond to the situation.
