Smoking is generally prohibited in indoor public places and workplaces; however, in some of these places, owners or managers may create designated smoking areas. Smoking is prohibited in most forms of public transport, with exceptions for taxis and outdoor places on commercial watercraft.
Restaurants, bars and cafes are non-smoking indoors but smoking is usually allowed on any outdoor area such as a terrace. Hotels usually set aside a few rooms for smokers. If you don't specify, you will be placed in a non-smoking room.
Current status. Smoking and vaping are banned in all indoor public places (government buildings, offices, public transport, universities, museums, restaurants, cafés, nightclubs, etc.). Cafés and shops selling tobacco-related products are submitted to the same regulations.
