According to the accounts of Septon Eustace, prior to her turning sixteen, Rhaenyra lost her virginity to her uncle, Prince Daemon, after he seduced her.
We last saw her find out the truth in "We Light the Way" that Rhaenyra lost her virginity to Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel).
When Daemon takes her to a brothel later that evening in King's Landing, he gives into temptation and although the two don't actually have sex, they get close to it before Daemon abandons her.
Daemon stops himself from taking her virginity, though, fleeing the scene conflicted while leaving Rhaenyra to make her way home alone. Unfortunately, their tryst was witnessed by some little birds employed by Daemon's former paramour and current Mistress of Whisperers, Mysaria of the Bonkers Accent (Sonoya Mizuno).
The relationship between the two started in earnest in episode five, after Criston slept with Rhaenyra (played then by Milly Alcock). Alicent speaks to him to see if he knows anything about Rhaenyra sleeping with her uncle, Daemon (Matt Smith), but Criston confesses to their own liaison instead.
The reason why Criston and Rhaenyra having sex in House of the Dragon episode 4 is so important is due to Criston's loyalties during the Dance.
We know that while the two came close, they never actually did the deed. Daemon, thrown off by his lack of ability to shock Rhaenyra, left her to get drunk and pass out. While Rhaenyra did go on to sleep with Criston Cole — the big problem of the episode — Viserys (Paddy Considine) was made more cautious of Daemon.
Rhaenyra's first marriage is to Laenor Velaryon, while Daemon's second wife is Laenor's sister, Laena. Daemon is, of course, younger than Rhaenyra's father Viserys, but he's still significantly older than her: in the books, there's a 16-year age gap between Rhaenyra and Daemon.
Yes they did actually love each other. He definitely loved Rhaenyra that much is clear and I honestly believe he loved her until the end (his death). He wasn't faithful but he did love her more than any other woman he has ever been with.
As a youth, Rhaenyra was considered the most beautiful woman in the land, but Martin has repeatedly stated that at the time of her father's death, “[S]he was a pudgy girl and a stout woman, with a thick waist and a very large bosom.
That's right, during the Oct. 2 episode of House of the Dragon, Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) and Daemon (Matt Smith) stopped fighting their feelings for one another and finally got together. However, this was more than just an illicit liaison, as Rhaenyra and Daemon got married at the end of the episode.
While we conjectured that something inside forced Daemon to stop before he took Rhaenyra's virginity, a recent HBO-approved “Inside the Episode” installment revealed that something was literally impotence. He literally couldn't get it up.
As seen in the fourth episode of House of the Dragon, Daemon is intimate with Rhaenyra after taking her to a brothel. In the show, there isn't any romantic love between them. Daemon uses Rhaenyra for her position, and by being the first man to be intimate with her, he ensures that no other man would want to marry her.
Rhaenyra has been pregnant with her daughter Visenya since House of the Dragon's latest and last time jump, and it is heartbreaking to see her deal with this loss. The way in which the scene plays out makes it especially disturbing.
Rhaenyra went back to the Red Keep where she was spotted by the Kingsguard Criston. She let him enter her room and started to seduce him and they went on to have sex later.
Daemon shows wife Rhaenyra the message; she recognizes that if Luke's claim to the title is questioned, so could the legitimacy of her three sons with Harwin Strong. Daemon puts a hand on Rhaenyra's belly. She is pregnant with their child.
Daemon, who slept outside the walls of the Red Keep the previous night, is dragged into the Great Hall to be questioned by Viserys. He tells his brother he did sleep with Rhaenyra, and says he wants to take her as a second wife.
After Daemon's first wife dies, he gets together with Laena Velaryon—who was initially suggested as a bride for King Viserys. They have two daughters.
No. Despite marrying Laena out of pure interest, he actually respected her, was faithful to her, and might have even loved her. Also, Rhaenyra loved Laena, they had a beautiful friendship.
Daemon and Rhaenyra share two children together: Aegon III and Viserys II.
This marks a significant change from the book, which states that Rhaenyra was born in 97 AC, and would be only 9 years old when her father marries Alicent. Milly Alcock, who plays young Rhaenyra, is 22. As of the mid-season time jump, Rhaenyra is aged up to 27, then—as of episode 8—to 33.
Rhaenyra and Daemon's sons Aegon, Viserys, and Visenya Targaryen. Sorry for the spoiler, but we did watch Daemon and Rhaenyra get married in last week's episode, so you probably knew this was coming! We haven't seen them yet in the show, but Daemon and Rhaenyra have three sons together.
Turns out, Rhaenyra and Daemon are endgame, meaning they have a sexually tense relationship, eventually hook up, and get married—which is pretty significant from a power play perspective considering (1) they both want the throne and (2) their Targaryen union is almost sure to guarantee that happens—even though Alicent ...
After mourning the death of Daemon's wife, Rhaenyra makes it clear that she has feelings for Daemon, and wishes to strengthen her position in Westeros by marrying him. The pair then have sex.
Did Daemon Targaryen cheat on Laena Velaryon with Rhaenyra Targaryen? No. Despite marrying Laena out of pure interest, he actually respected her, was faithful to her, and might have even loved her.
