Elvis may have allowed smoking and drinking at Graceland, but fish was banned since he couldn't stand the smell of it cooking.
For the comfort and health of our guests and staff, and to protect our exhibits and facilities from damage, smoking is permitted only in outdoor areas of Elvis Presley's Memphis and Graceland Exhibition Center.
It's not just the fabled upstairs of Graceland that is off limits to everyone. Lisa Marie is one of only two people, with her mother Priscilla, who can access Elvis' bedroom whenever she wishes.
The Upstairs Remains Off Limits
It was there, in his bathroom, that Presley's body was found on Aug. 16, 1977. After the home was opened to the public in 1982, the second floor was sealed shut out of respect to the family — and also to avoid any macabre attention at the scene of his death.

Elvis didn't have a single brand that was his favorite. He regularly smoked Hav-a-Tampa Jewels, Diamond Tip, Roi-Tan and Villager Kiels cigars.

There is a public bathroom at Graceland, you access it from outside which is after the tour of the main house – so it's best to go to the bathroom before you get on the bus!

The King of Rock and Roll died upstairs at Graceland and to this day it's off-limits to the public. However, Elvis Presley's private area is still perfectly preserved at his daughter Lisa Marie's request. Devotion to his mother
Presley even shared his mother's bed "up until Elvis was a young teen," simply because the family was so extremely poor that they couldn't afford the luxury of two beds.

Elvis' insomnia was described as “incurable” and “persistent.” He's frequently characterized as “nocturnal” as he did not go to sleep until the mid morning hours – including on the day he died. In the last two years of his life, Elvis was in declining physical and mental health.
Did Ginger Alden Attend Elvis' Funeral? Yes. As his fiancée at the time, it is believed that Ginger Alden was present for Elvis' funeral. Following the funeral, however, she was reportedly banned from Graceland by Presley's family and had to receive permission to visit his grave.
Lisa Marie became the the sole owner of the mansion when the trust holding her inheritance dissolved on her 25th birthday in 1993. Graceland has become a popular tourist attraction over the years, with public tours on offer as well as sprawling museum exhibits.
As one of Elvis' beneficiaries in his will, Lisa Marie Presley inherited his whole estate after the death of her father.
The documents outline how the estate will be split between Lisa Marie's family members and specify that Priscilla will be buried at Graceland as near as possible to Elvis, her ex-husband.

Cameras are allowed, but no flash photography is permitted. Video cameras may not be taken inside the mansion or inside any gift shops or attractions. Graceland does not provide wheelchairs for general guest use.
