Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia (who had secretly longed for magic herself) didn't see much of their nephew, for obvious reasons. Dudley, on the other hand, reunited with Harry a few times so that their children could play together. Their relationship was awkward, but this was a major change from when they grew up.
Dudley shared his gratitude toward Harry in his own way, being the only member of the Dursley family to do so. This moment was presented through a deleted scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part One, as Dudley shook Harry's hand before parting ways.
After the Second Wizarding War, Dudley later became a cousin-in-law to Harry's wife Ginevra Weasley and a first cousin once removed to Harry and Ginny's children, James, Albus, and Lily Potter. Dudley and Harry eventually reconciled as adults, remaining on "Christmas card terms" and visiting each other occasionally.
One of the most beautiful moments in the entire Potter series came from when Dudley and Harry were able to make amends. This occurred in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Dudley told Harry that he didn't think he was a waste of space. They even shook hands!
His last words in the movie are, "I still don't understand why we have to leave." But he also has a deleted film scene where he has a final conversation with Harry, and his last line is, "I don't think you're a waste of space." In the final book, Dudley's last line is simply, "See you, Harry."
"The first meeting between Lily, her boyfriend James Potter, and the engaged couple, went badly, and the relationship nosedived from there," Rowling revealed. Rowling adds that Vernon hated Harry because he saw father James in him, much in the same way that Snape does.
Though Harry encountered many opportunities that deemed Avada Kedavra necessary, it remains as one of the Unforgivable Curses Harry Potter never cast. For one, he viewed the spell as an immoral practice commonly used by users of the Dark Arts.
But at the same time, I feel like, for my sanity, I have to try not to look back, and to just keep moving forward." It's perhaps not surprising that Melling was missing from the Return to Hogwarts reunion, as he has dedicated the years following playing Dudley actively distancing himself from the role.
Harry and Dudley maintained a relationship:
The once-estranged cousins made amends after Dudley's admission that Harry wasn't a “waste of space” and remained on “Christmas-card terms” as they grew older. However, their relationship never blossomed into a true friendship.
For those who remember, Dudley Dursley was essentially a spoiled brat in the "Harry Potter" books and films. Aside from the fact that his parents, Vernon and Petunia, bent at his every whim, Dursley was also a huge bully, too. He treated Harry horribly and had no remorse for when his parents did the same.
After Dudley and Harry encountered a dementor in Order of the Phoenix he became much more compassionate.
The fan asked the author if Aunt Petunia was a Squib (a non-magical person who is born to at least one magical parent) and Rowling replied: "Good question. No, she is not, she is not a Squib. She is a Muggle.
Petunia never showed any love and affection at all towards Harry because he reminded her of Lily and the wizarding world. She treated him as a waste of space, giving him the cupboard under the stairs at first and making him do all the chores. She, along with Vernon, ignored most of Harry's birthdays.
She was aware that allowing her nephew houseroom would keep him alive. Harry had lived for the last fifteen years (ten before Hogwarts and five from his arrival to this confrontation). Petunia and Vernon weren't kind caretakers (as seen in Harry Potter) but they did agree to take Harry in just to keep him alive.
None of the good guys dare use the Killing Curse throughout the events of the movies and books, no matter how high the stakes and how difficult things are. But Ron Weasley is the exception, giving it a go in the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 movie when himself and Hermione look destined to die via Nagini.
The author explicitly states that both women were fighting to kill, despite Molly refraining from casting the Unforgivable curse Avada Kedavra. The result of the duel actually comes about as a result of nothing more than spectacular accuracy on Weasley's part.
The two children of Dudley Dursley and his wife were Muggles. They were occasionally visited by their magical second cousins, the two sons and daughter of their father's cousin Harry Potter. It is unknown whether they knew of their cousins' magical heritage.
But Aunt Petunia receives a Howler – a special enchanted letter – that says only, "Remember my last, Petunia" (2.217). By the final chapters of Book 5, Harry discovers that this Howler was sent by Professor Dumbledore to remind Aunt Petunia of her oath to give Harry a place to live.
Parvati survived the Battle of Hogwarts and marries Dean Thomas and had two children a daughter Hadley and a son Jahnu Thomas. Parvati attended and watched the final of the 2014 Quidditch World Cup with her twin sister Padma. her husband and children.
Petunia was incredibly jealous of Lily's magical ability and hated that her magical sister always seemed to be the centre of attention. When she married Vernon, she didn't want Lily to be a bridesmaid because she was tired of being overshadowed by her.
Tragically, the last time Petunia ever heard from Lily was an announcement of Harry's birth (which Petunia threw away). Rowling also explained that Vernon hated Harry for the same reason Severus Snape pretended to: He looked too much like his dad.
Uncle Vernon's dislike of Harry stems in part, like Severus Snape's, from Harry's close resemblance to the father they both so disliked. Their lies to Harry on the subject of how his parents had died were based largely on their own fears.
