You'll need to wear something for protection, and you pretty much have three choices nowadays: a pad, a tampon, or a period cup. A lot of dancers find it most convenient and comfortable to wear a tampon, but some girls, especially younger girls, opt to wear a thin pad.
Protection. On heavy days, Streicher suggests doubling up: Wear a tampon and a thong panty liner in your leotard for additional, unbulky protection. Then, layer your tights over your leotard, or, if your studio allows it, wear dark-colored, fitted shorts.

Tampons are the most preferred menstruation product to use for dancers. They are comfortable and you don't feel them at all while you are dancing. Tampons are also a better bet because they are least likely to leak.
The Dancer is similar to most knight class enemies. She has a moderate amount of physical defense, but most magics will hit her for quite large amounts, particularly Lighting. The Dancer is also very weak to the Bleed effect.
It is standard practice to ask young dancers to not wear panties or undies under their dance leotards and costumes for performances, recitals, and exams.
In fact, I admit that many professional ballerinas probably have significant 'thigh gap' (if their hips are wide enough).
Choose bras in skin tone, black, or the color of your leotard. While your leotard should completely cover the bra, sometimes a little bit of the bra may remain visible.
Avoid wearing pads under your leotard
Pads are not something we'd recommend wearing under your gear. Even the smallest of pads can peek out of a leotard, and there's a risk that the bright stage lights could make them visible.
There's no scientific reason you should skip out on your workouts during your period. In fact, there's evidence that exercise can be helpful during this time. The bottom line is this: Continue with exercise, but back off on the intensity, especially if you're feeling fatigued.
While periods may or may not affect a woman's athletic performance, the reverse occasionally occurs, meaning that a ton of exercise may sometimes cause irregular periods or periods to stop altogether. Also, low bone density and thus risk of fractures comes with this undernutrition state.
Another common practice among sportswomen is taking birth control pills. In one study, about half of athlete respondents revealed that they were using hormonal contraceptives. Doing so helped them control the frequency of their cycle, its timing, and the intensity of menstrual bleeding.
And the stress increases when it comes to runway shows: Because the models are required to wear thongs, tampons are the only option when walking down the catwalk. Victoria said that her worst nightmare would be leaking on the runway, or having her tampon string pop out while walking.
What Causes Dancer's Hip? The most common cause of snapping hip syndrome is tightness in the muscles and tendons surrounding the hip. Such tension can result from repeated use of these muscles, which is why dancers are particularly prone to hip popping.
En Pointe. The “en Pointe” technique in classical ballet is one of the most challenging to execute. In this move, a dancer has to support their entire bodyweight on their feet, which are fully extended.
As long as it feels good, Hrubes encourages dancers to crack their hips to decrease the pressure they may feel there. (Cracking has even been shown to increase range of motion in the knuckle joint, she says, though that doesn't necessarily mean the same is true for the hip.)

Whereas jock straps contain straps on their backside, a dance belt is primarily made as a thong. The reason for this design is to completely hide all traces of underwear lines through the tights or tight pants a male dancer wears.
Spotting keeps a dancer from becoming dizzy during pirouettes, and it also gives turns a certain aesthetic sharpness. Dancers use spotting as a way to balance themselves and keep track of where the body is in space.
Dancing on pointe can be uncomfortable at first. Your feet and legs will be very sore for a few weeks until you develop calluses and train your muscles. You will probably get blisters and you may even bleed through a pair of pointe shoes. That's okay.
