All candidates who received their bachelor's degree and any graduate degrees from a university or universities where English is NOT the sole language of instruction are required to take an English language test (TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson Test of English (PTE), or Duolingo English Test).
The Duolingo English Test is accepted for the programs under the Harvard Extension School to verify your English proficiency.
If you wish to take an English proficiency exam but feel that the cost is a financial burden for you, we offer fee waivers for the Duolingo English Test. We are only able to offer fee waivers to students who have demonstrated financial need through a complete submitted application.
