Depending on which route the player is going for, Abigail may get bitten and infected if she fails the HOLD BREATH moment or gets caught by the werewolf. Either way, Nick will be safe from attack until the next time he appears.
Everyone Who Always Gets Infected in The Quarry
In Chapter 3, Nick will always be attacked and bitten by Silas. Although players can choose to save or kill Nick in The Quarry, being bitten by Silas means that he can only be cured if Silas is killed by Laura at the end of the game.
In Chapter 3, Nick will be bitten by a werewolf, and you have the choice to either Help Nick or Run to Camp, which you should select Help Nick. This will put Abigail in danger, but Nick will survive this episode. After that, Ryan will search for Nick and find him getting dragged by hunters.
Max, Nick and Laura are the only protagonists who always get infected and turn into werewolves. Emma, Dylan, and Jacob are the only protagonists who can get infected and able to turn into werewolves. Abigail, Ryan, and Kaitlyn are the only protagonists who can get infected, but never turn into werewolves.
However, much like all characters in The Quarry, with the right choices and decisions across each Chapter, it is entirely possible for Nick to be saved and ultimately cured of the werewolf curse.
To keep her alive and get the Achievement, activate the Rewind option from the title menu. This way, after Abi dies, the Rewind is triggered and players can use a life to go back in time to the beginning of the scene and shoot Nick to save Abigail.
If we kiss him, the exchange between Nick and Abi will end, starting the next part of the scene (you can skip to it here). However, if we don't kiss him, we'll get a little more dialogue that fleshes out Abi and Nick's relationship while still getting the option to kiss him later.
Regardless of choices throughout the game, Nick from The Quarry becomes a Werewolf after being bitten by Werewolf Caleb in chapter 3. There is no way to prevent him from getting infected in chapter 3 and turning into a Werewolf in chapter 6.
SAVE PETE: If you choose to rescue Pete, Nick will run off into the woods and presumably escape the walkers. Clementine and Pete will head into the woods themselves, and in the "Next Time On..." sequence you'll see Pete contemplating taking his leg off.
The path will not be unlocked if Dylan's hand was not bitten in Chapter 5. This requires Abigail to leave the bags in Chapter 1.
Don't Stop Laura
Laura shoots the werewolf, which turns out to be Nick. As she used silver bullets, the shot will kill Nick. Laura will then be captured by Travis who heard the gunshot, moving the scene on. You'll now go to the fortune teller, so click here to skip ahead.
Appearance. Silas' human form can only be glimpsed very briefly at the end of the game if Laura chooses to kill him. He is a boy with albinism, and short white hair. His albinism carries over in his werewolf form, causing his appearance as a werewolf to be much paler, earning him the nickname "The White Wolf".
Sadly, that is not possible in all cases. A perfect example of that is Nick, the unlucky lad who is first to face the nightmares of Hackett's Quarry. While talking to Abi in the woods, they will be attacked by a werewolf. Nick will be bitten, there is no way to change that.
7 Nick: The Nice Guy
Nick is the closest thing to an Everyman in The Quarry, with him being fairly unremarkable in terms of defining character traits. He's considered by the group as a nice guy with many of the characters rooting for him and Abigail to finally act upon their mutual crush.
Appearance Evolution. Following the attack of werewolf Caleb in the woods, Nick gets covered in blood and has a bite on his leg. Upon arrival at the lodge, however, he is cleaned and his wound is healed. In Chapter 6, Abigail accidentally pushes Nick in the pool, causing him to soak until the end of the chapter.
That being said, it's possible, and is perhaps one of the best and most fruitful endings for the game. Here's how to keep everyone alive in The Quarry, and if you're not quite sure of which nine characters you're going to be focusing on, it's as follows: Abi, Nick, Emma, Jacob, Ryan, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Max and Laura.
Laura and Ryan can both die at the end, but as long as Ryan has blood smeared on his face that he found earlier, he will survive. You must kill the creature at the end to save everyone and get the best ending, or else Laura and the sheriff will die, and everybody will still be infected.
Abigail can only be infected in Chapter Three. After Nick is attacked, she has a variety of choices. Three moments can end up with her getting infected. The first is that she neither runs nor hides from the werewolf.
If Jacob throws dirt at the Hunter: Jacob will distract the Hunter and buy himself enough time to escape. Either option will allow Jacob to make it back to the Firepit.
The Bloated Corpse is a piece of evidence in The Quarry. It can be found by Jacob in Lake Septimus during Chapter 3.
Nick. Nick and Abigail both have crushes each other at the beginning of the game, but are too shy to make any move.
As Nick gets attacked, you'll have an important choice: Run to Camp or Help Nick. The best action here is to Help Nick, so make sure you pick the option on the right side, then get ready for a QTE.
During Silas' attack on the radio hut, Dylan gets his left arm bitten, which prompts Ryan to possibly amputate it. It will then be bandaged by Kaitlyn. Alternatively, Dylan can be bitten in the forearm and/or arm by werewolf Emma and Silas, respectively.
Table of contents. In The Quarry, infection is usually caused by werewolves when they bite another person. In Hackett's Quarry Summer Camp, all the protagonists have a chance of getting infected. The only way to cure this curse is by killing the werewolf that caused it with silver on a full moon night.
