Palpatine succumbed to his wounds at Tapalo's blade. Trioculus is the self-proclaimed son and heir of Palpatine. As his moniker implies, he has three eyes: two in the same place as a normal human and a third on his forehead. He attempts to procure the glove worn on the hand that Darth Vader lost in his duel with Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi.
Rey's Father Was Palpatine's Clone, Not His Son
It's certainly in character for Emperor Palpatine to claim possession of something or someone to which he has no right. He discarded his cloned "son" Dathan when he learned his progeny lacked Force potential and could play host to his dark side essence.
In The Rise of Skywalker's novelization, we learn that Rey's father was a failed clone of Emperor Palpatine. He was initially created to be a vessel to house Palpatine and his Sith power.

Snoke and his many copies were not a clone of any known individual the way the Clone Army soldiers were modified copies of Jango Fett. Nor was he a one-for-one recreation of a previous body like Palpatine's clone body. Snoke was an entirely new being made from scratch, and Dr.
