Your best bet is to have a Smart TV with the Netflix app. If you don't have the Netflix app, but can cast, then casting is great! Otherwise, you have to connect a computer via DVI or HDMI. If you need to travel, you can download Netflix episodes to your Android or iOS device.
You can still watch Netflix offline by downloading them onto your P.C. or mobile devices. You can then either connect your mobile or P.C. device to your T.V. through an HDMI cable or by Screen Sharing your device to the T.V.
Use DeX Cable or a USB-C to HDMI cable (Android Phones Only) You can view the screen of your Android device on a TV by mirroring it without WiFi. You will need to DeX cable, USB-C cable, or an MHL cable to HDMI cable for it to work.
Set up a mobile hotspot on your phone by going to the settings, look for the "Mobile Hotspot" or "Tethering" option, and turn it on. Connect the TV to the mobile hotspot by going to the TV's settings, look for the "Network" option, and select the mobile hotspot from the list of available networks.
Users can stream Netflix via smart TVs, smartphones, tablets, laptops, personal computers, game consoles, and streaming media players. Most people prefer to stream movies to their TV; even if you don't have a smart TV, you can still stream Netflix with other internet-enabled devices.
TV or TV-connected device
If you can't find the Netflix app on your TV or a device that connects to your TV, your device might need a software update. On most devices, you can check for updates and install them from the settings or system menu.
While the Chromecast can work without an internet connection, its firmware has to be up to date. On your primary device, open a Google Cast-ready app and click the "Cast" button. The primary device will begin to search for nearby compatible devices. Find the screen you want to cast to and select it.
You can use Chromecast without a dedicated Wi-Fi source by using one of the following options: Use Chromecast Guest Mode. Use WLAN without internet (following pre-setup procedures) for mirroring a device. Use a mobile hotspot as the router and a second device to connect to Chromecast.
If you have an Android device, you can enable tethering by heading to Settings > Network and Internet > Hotspot and Tethering > Wi-Fi Hotspot. Slide the toggle next to Wi-Fi Hotspot into the On position. Meanwhile, iOS users should go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and slide the toggle to turn this feature on.
With that streaming setup, your maximum transfer speeds will be limited to about 10 Mbps. Still, that's enough for streaming live in high definition. Using a long ethernet cable with an extender allows you to stream without WiFi.
Android Phones and Tablets
The most common method is to use a “casting” app, such as AirBeamTV. Our apps allow you to wirelessly connect your phone to any popular TV. Once connected, you can “cast” the content on your phone's screen to your TV, and watch movies from your phone on your TV without HDMI.
Unplug your device from power. Press the power button on the device once and wait 1 minute, or leave it unplugged for 3 minutes instead. Plug your device back in. Turn your device on and try Netflix again.
If you're using an Android phone or tablet, you'll have to purchase an appropriate cable connection. In our case, it's an HDMI cable. What is this? However, please make sure you have correct adapters that connect to your TV as well.
Using a mobile device to watch Netflix on a TV isn't available on an ad-supported plan. To use your mobile device to watch Netflix on your TV, you'll need to change to an ad-free plan.
