Unlike in Stranger Things s4 where
After defeating the Demogorgon (which may have been acting on Henry's orders), Eleven vanished inside the Upside Down and then escaped — eventually going to live with Hopper in a secret cabin in the woods.
The creature was finally defeated in a showdown with Eleven at Hawkins Middle School. Eleven used her abilities to disintegrate the creature, but accidentally transported herself to the Upside Down in the process.
After defeating the Demogorgon, Eleven wakes up in the Upside Down. She escapes through a portal, which leads her back to Hawkins Middle School. With the government still searching for her, she is forced to hide in the forest.
There's been debate as to whether or not this scene implies that Eleven created the Upside Down or merely opened the first gate to it. But according to Millie Bobby Brown, the Upside Down existed before El ever meddled with it. “I don't think that she created the Upside Down,” Brown told Variety in June.
Vecna taps into the trauma in a human brain to cause pain while the Mind Flayer doesn't have a human brain, so Vecna's powers become useless against it. However, if Vecna can tap into The Upside Down's hive mind, he may be able to take down the Mind Flayer.
Realizing he had tremendous psychic power, he haunted his family with visions before ultimately killing most of them. His father was framed for the murders and locked away in a mental hospital as a disturbed serial killer. Henry then found himself in the care of Brenner, who decided he wanted more kids like the boy.
Sharing more about Eleven's real father Andrew Rich could be a great way to wrap up the story.
In season 4, Peter Ballard notes that Kali was no longer at the lab in 1979. Given Kali's powers, it seems pretty self-explanatory as to how she was able to escape the lab. She either made herself invisible or was able to escape after manipulating the minds and visions of the guards.
Unlike in Stranger Things s4 where Eleven loses her powers, her powers are still active at this time, even though she was considerably weakened after defeating the Demogorgon, which is likely how the hunter survived her then-unfocused telekinesis.
The Demogorgon was feeding off an egg in the moment before Eleven made psychic contact with it.
Eleven has a memory during this episode and realizes that 001/Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower) wants her to join him on his evil journey, and she banished him to the Upside Down. 001 then transformed into Vecna, the horrifying Stranger Things villain.
She was abducted by Dr. Martin Brenner and made into a human guinea pig, and eventually, somehow, she made contact with a creature in another dimension. Will slipped into this dimension — the Upside Down — and she felt responsible for letting it break through to the other side.
The monster wants revenge after Eleven stopped its spread into our world. It was clearly displayed in season 2 that the Upside Down and its inhabitants harbor a grudge against Will for escaping in season 1.
According to Henry Creel, he was brought to Dr. Brenner when his mother caught on to his mysterious psychic powers.
Next up, the viewers go on to theorise that One/Vecna is actually Eleven's dad. Yep, told you it was wild. The theory claims that Brenner wanted to create a child with stronger powers, so he waited until One was old enough to become a father.
Vecna successfully stole Eleven's powers when controlling the Mind Flayer in Stranger Things' season 3 ending, which finally allowed him to emerge stronger than Eleven and enact his plan to take over Hawkins with the Upside Down.
The final scene of Volume 1 shows a shot of Vecna, and a close up of the 001 tattoo on his arm, confirming that Henry Creel, a.k.a. Number One, became Vecna.
His first victim was Chrissy Cunningham. Vecna targeted Chrissy by using her depression and eating disorder against her in his visions. Chrissy was killed in Eddie Munson's trailer, and the first gate was opened on the ceiling.
While intending to get his revenge on Eleven and Brenner, Vecna also goes after victims who have dealt with traumatizing experiences in the past (reminiscent of his childhood and his time at the Hawkins lab).
Joe Manganiello's character Arkhan fought against Vecna with the adventuring party Vox Machina in the web series Critical Role. He then stole the Hand of Vecna and replaced his own hand with the artifact.
Stranger Things season 4 confirms that Jamie Campbell Bower's Vecna is pure evil and cannot be given a redemption arc that'll fit his story.
Who Created the Upside Down? In the "Stranger Things" timeline, the earliest we see the Upside Down is during Eleven's time in the Hawkins National Laboratory when an experiment guided by Dr. Brenner results in her accidentally opening the gateway between our world and the hellish dimension on the other side.
The Upside Down Hierarchy | Fandom. Vecna is the primary leader of The Upside Down Hive Mind. The Mind Flayer seemed to have been connected to this Hive Mind and was possibly the leader of the Hive Mind before Vecna came and connected to himself making The Mind Flayer's Hive Mind into Vecna's Hive Mind.
