Luke's Force ghost then emerges to teach her about facing her fears, asking about what she's most afraid of. She replies, "Myself," to which Luke says, "Because you're a Palpatine. Leia knew it, too" This realization takes Rey by surprise, as there had been few hints about her heritage up to that point.
The Emperor claimed Rey was a Palpatine in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - but she was never truly part of his family, and even he knew it. The Emperor insisted Rey was his granddaughter in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – but Rey Palpatine was never really a Palpatine at all.

In the canon comic Darth Vader No. 25, it is revealed that Palpatine somehow used the Force to manipulate midichlorions to impregnate Shmi Skywalker.
Miramir was a human female who worked as a junk trader during the New Republic Era. Her husband Dathan was the cloned "son"—an artificial Strand-Cast—of Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith and Galactic Emperor. Miramir had a Force-sensitive child with Dathan, a daughter named Rey, who was born in 15 ABY.
Question: Did Maul know Sidious was Palpatine? In legends he did. In the darth plagueis novel I'm pretty sure there's a part where maul was reflecting on his master's political machinations and how he is publicly known as palpatine.
Star Wars reveals Emperor Palpatine learned Luke Skywalker is Darth Vader's son during The Empire Strikes Back. After Anakin Skywalker turned to the dark side and became Vader, his children were hidden to keep them save from the clutches of the Emperor.

But the fact that he's a bio-engineered being created by Palpatine explains why his training of Kylo Ren followed the Sith mold so closely, since all along Palpatine was trying to manipulate Ren.
