All of our choices are based on story. It's based upon the road that these characters have traveled, in not only this movie, but throughout the entire entity up to this point because, again, these movies are the culmination. So all we can say is that they are very focused story choices.
Speaking to Rotten Tomatoes (via CBR), directors Anthony and Joe Russo explained how they decided to have the victims of the snap turn to dust. Joe Russo shared that they thought about the “elemental aspect of your body and what happens to it”, so the vanishing was a way of “accelerating the decomposing process”.
His solution was simple, fair and brutal: He would kill half the population by random drawing. The rich and poor alike would be killed according to chance, and the rest of the population would have a chance to live in a world of plenty. The other Titans didn't go with his plan.
The Blip (also known as the Decimation and the Snap) is a major fictional event depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise in which half of all living things in the universe, chosen at random, were exterminated by Thanos snapping his fingers while wearing the Infinity Gauntlet and wielding the Infinity Stones ...
Unlike Spider-Man and other Vanished heroes who were victims of Thanos' snap, there were a few victims of Avengers: Infinity War that died and didn't get to come back. One of these, tragically, was Thanos' daughter, Gamora. She was one of the Guardians of the Galaxy and a superhero in her own right.
Thanos can be seen fighting the Avengers, making quick work of them, and disposing of them easily. One of the casualties is Iron Man, who gets ripped in half as he tries to face Thanos. Thanos disposes of him and, in the scene, seemingly pours his insides out of his body.
Imagine, Tony survived after End Game, he could have his own replicated Pym particles, had a time machine in his suit and even had access to each timeline in the multiverse. Dr. Strange believed if Tony Stark survived then sooner he will be the most powerful being in the universe.
Why was Captain Marvel not snapped? That's because she was pulling energy from the Stones to give her a power boost, which also explains why she didn't flinch when Thanos punched her.
First of all, when Thanos snapped his fingers, he excluded himself. So he will not be killed by the snap.
Death and Thanos work together to destroy their offspring, and it is at this time that Death finally addresses Thanos and admits to feeling "love" for him.
However, his ability to hold his own through much of the fight proves that despite his weight gain, he was still an MCU powerhouse. It was Smart Hulk's opinion that only he could do it, but it's possible that Thor too could have managed the snap, but perhaps not without suffering even worse side effects.
The Asgardian Son of Odin was extremely close to ending Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. After gaining the powerful weapon Stormbreaker, Thor becomes the wielder of the most powerful weapon in the universe. Stormbreaker is capable of killing Thanos outright, and only Thor is currently worthy of wielding it.
Note that all the members of the original Avengers team — Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye — survived Thanos' attack. Presumably they will unite one last time in Avengers: Endgame to reverse the curse.
However, did you know that the ending we got was deliberately done for a reason? According to Showbiz Cheatsheet Captain America couldn't die at the end because of the type of superhero he had always been portrayed as.
Scott was trapped in the Quantum Realm during this time and, after emerging what felt like seconds later, revealed that the Realm could be used for time travel that the Avengers used to recollect the Stones and reverse Thanos' actions.
Hello, Hulk could not help iron man because of following reasons… 1:- Hulk hand got fractured after his first snap and also he became very weak just like Thanos. 2:- At that time iron man was the only person near thanos who have tech and time to take infinity stones from him.
Why didn't Hulk use the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out Thanos and his army? He used the Nano Gauntlet. And when he snapped, he didn't know about Thanos and his army. He was only focused about bringing back trillions of lives.
According to the theory. Captain Marvel's ability to keep Thanos from snapping had nothing to do with the latent strength she had from her powers. Instead, it was her power's ability to siphon off energy that made her able to face off against him.
At the end of the film, Thanos is seen with a young Gamora in an orange dreamlike world after he snaps his fingers, “killing” half of the universe's living beings. Director Joe Russo said on the podcast Happy Sad Confused that the much debated scene does indeed take place in the soul world within the soul stone.
When Tony Stark snapped, he, ever the wise-cracker, replied to Thanos' "I am inevitable" line with his own mic-drop "And I am Iron Man". Now, Downey Jr has spoken about the line, saying he deliberated about more options. The death of Tony Stark was one of the most important events in MCU history.
The stones were destroyed in the Marvel timeline, but are still intact in the parallel timelines after Captain America restored them.
As per the user, the director of Avengers confirmed that Thanos was most scared of Iron Man. “Not because of his strength, not because of his power, not because of his power, but because of his suit,” he added.
Iron Man Probably Won't Be Back
Bringing Tony Stark back would be a mistake because his character arc is already complete, from a successful billionaire who ran his company named after his father, to a superhero who made it his top priority to protect the world from dangerous threats and weapons of mass destruction.
"Thanos' skin is almost impenetrable, we don't know whether Doctor Strange had the capability to do it," Russo said. "If he failed to cut it on time, Thanos would still able to do the snap. Doctor Strange realized this issue during his millions of test runs." Spoilers for Avengers: Endgame follow.
