History. Like many Jedi did for hundreds of years, Yoda built his lightsaber under the aegis of Professor Huyang, an architect droid who had been with the Jedi Order since its nascent days. As a first step, Yoda acquired a kyber crystal from the icy caverns of Ilum, a mission that proved to be very eventful.
When the Dark Lord used Force lightning to disarm him, Yoda lost the lightsaber which fell to the ground below, but he recovered the weapon, and kept it in a box in his hut on Dagobah while in his exile.

Description. Bleeding was accomplished by pouring rage, hate, fear and pain into a kyber crystal by means of the dark side of the Force, until the crystal changed, resulting in the crimson-bladed lightsabers associated almost exclusively with dark side adepts.
In truth, the Sith normally wielded enough powers to fight without a lightsaber, but every apprentice still learned to use one as part of his or her training. Sidious himself felt that he and his peers had outgrown the use of lightsabers, and only continued carrying them to mock the Jedi.
However, Yoda eventually lost his weapon when he dueled the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious in the Senate Building. When Sidious unleashed bolts of energy to disarm him, the Jedi Master lost his lightsaber, which fell to the ground below.
Grogu appears to be the youngest known member of Yoda's species. He is only 50 years old, and he is still developmentally an infant. For the whole first season of The Mandalorian™, they referred to him only as the Child. It seems that the species is, for whatever reason, quite slow to age.
In the construction of a Sith lightsaber, individuals partook in a process known as bleeding. By ways of the Force, they would pour negative emotions such as rage, hate, fear and pain into kyber crystals. The process would result in the crystals gaining a distinctive crimson or red hue.
Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi Padawan who aided in the rebellion against the Galactic Empire, is acknowledged as the sole possessor of the white lightsaber.
Purple. Only one person in canon wields a purple blade: the Jedi Council's Mace Windu. He uses it to decapitate the deadly bounty hunter Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and to deflect Darth Sidious' Force Lightning with it -- disfiguring his face -- in Revenge of the Sith.

When Obi-Wan tells Yoda that Luke is their “last hope,” Yoda says, “No. There is another.” While the events of Return of the Jedi suggest this “other” person was Leia, it's also possible Yoda was referring to Rey.
The second time Yoda mentions his long life is in Return of the Jedi, when he tells Luke, “When you reach 900 years old, you will not look as good as you will.” If we take Yoda at his word, that means the Jedi Master died at the ripe old age of 900.
