Enter *67. Enter the number you wish to call (including area code). Tap Call. The words "Private," "Anonymous," or some other indicator will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.
Note: To block your Caller ID on a per-call basis, dial *67 before the 10-digit phone number. To show your caller ID, tap Caller ID, then tap Show number.
To turn off caller ID, open Settings, tap Applications, and then tap Phone. Locate and tap More Settings. Tap Caller ID. And select Hide Number.
Tap Manage device for your mobile number. Tap Share Name ID. Edit the name. Check I accept the Terms and Conditions.
To block caller ID for an individual call, dial 1831 (or #31# from a mobile) then the number you are calling. Generally, this will make sure the person you are calling will not see your number.
2. Change the Caller ID Settings on Your Phone. You can block your phone number and hide your caller ID for every call you make by changing the settings on your device. Both Android and iOS devices let you hide your caller ID, making you show up as No Caller ID or Private to everyone you call.
To find these options, open the Phone app on your Android, tap the "More" icon (3 dots) in the upper-right corner of the screen, select "Settings," and then "Call Settings." Next, tap "Additional Settings" and then finally select "Caller ID."
To hide it for all calls, open the Phone app > ⋮ > Settings > Supplementary services (or Calls), find the "Caller ID" area, and select "Hide number" or "Never." If you use Google Voice, toggle on the Anonymous Caller ID setting to hide your caller ID.
You can turn off your own caller identification, your number will then not be shown at the receiving end when you make a call. Your number is only hidden when you make voice calls not when you send messages.
*31# (Disable Caller ID)
If you want to keep your privacy and prevent others from knowing when you call them, you can disable caller ID by using this code.
The Caller ID name displays on phones that have Caller ID. It doesn't override a name saved in a wireless device. It can take up to 72 business hours for caller IDs to show an updated Caller ID name. People may need to clear your number from their Caller ID record for your new name to appear.
Touch Calls. Touch Additional settings. Touch Caller ID. Touch the desired option (e.g., Hide number).
Caller ID is the first and last name attached to your wireless phone number and is displayed to the person receiving your call.
Caller ID information (custom name and associated number) may display incorrectly (or not display at all) on the recipient's phone for any of the following reasons: The caller has not sent the caller ID update request for the carrier to update the national caller ID database.
Step 1: On the Home Screen, tap Phone. Step 2: Press the left menu button and tap Settings. Step 3: Under Call settings, tap Supplementary services. Step 4: Tap Caller ID to turn it on or off.
If your calls to other people are showing as someone else, that's either a mix-up,in their contact info, or information provided by the carrier. Your iPhone and your contacts settings do not effect the caller ID info shown to other people.
