Borderless Printing with Word, Adobe Reader or Photoshop
In Word, borderless printing can be achieved by setting the page margins to 0 under "file" and "page setup". To print borderless with Adobe Reader, you have click the "file" tab and select "print". Select your printer from the drop-down menu.
Some printers have a "margin" option you can adjust that may make white margins smaller, but it still may not eliminate them entirely. Select File > Print > Print Full Page Slides.
Clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper size, orientation, and layout settings in your printer software are correct. Make sure your document does not contain blank pages. If your printer software has a Preview option, you can check for blank pages before you print and remove them, if necessary.
The print head nozzles may need cleaning. The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink, and you may need to replace them. Make sure the paper Type or Media Type setting matches the paper you loaded. Make sure your paper isn't damaged, old, dirty, or loaded face-down.
Borderless printing is not supported when the PAPER SIZE CHECK setting is off. Make sure that ON is selected for PAPER SIZE CHECK on the printer' s control panel. Depending on the media type, the print quality may decline or the borderless printing is not supported. See Paper Information for detailed information.
This issue may occur if you set your document or section margins closer to the edge of the paper than your printer can print. Most printers cannot print all the way to the edge of the paper because of physical limitations in the way that the printer handles paper.
This is caused by your printer margins, and the only way to print up to the edge of your page is a feature called 'borderless printing'. Annoyingly not all printers have borderless printing so there's no guarantee you'll be able to do it.
Start by choosing "File" and then "Print," and clicking the "Position and Size" settings. Usually, the default option is "Scale to Fit Media," which prints to the page margins. Deselect it, then manually enter scale, height and width values that equal the full size of your paper. Click "Print" to print your image.
Check That the Paper Tray Is Full (Not Jammed)
Try removing the paper tray, re-aligning the paper, and sliding it back in. In other instances, there may be some paper jammed in the mechanism. Usually your printer will tell you so, and you just need to open the access panel and pull the crumpled paper out.
Ink or toner cartridges that have become dislodged from their proper place. The wrong paper size loaded in the input tray. Clogged printer head nozzles causing a build-up of blocked ink or toner. Blank pages in the document you're printing.
Partial prints are a common issue with printers and there are several main reasons it can occur: Problem with the print spooler (on Windows PCs) Overload of the GPU on later model Macs. Dodgy USB cord.
Some special notes about borderless printing:
Make sure your images are the size or slightly smaller than your paper. Custom borderless printing is not available on most printers. Check your printer specs before ordering stock.
On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Margins. Do one of the following: To use predefined margins, click Normal, Wide, or Narrow.
