Method 1: Separate Two iPhones via iPhone Settings
Step 1: Open the Settings on the iPhone (from the other device). Step 2: Tap on your Profile to open the Apple ID page. Step 3: From the new page, select the iPhone you want to remove, then tap on Remove to unlink the iPhone with the same Apple ID.
You will only be able to use Messages/FaceTime on one phone because if both phone are signed into Messages/FaceTime, you will see all messages visible on both phones. Any data synced to iCloud will show on both phones. If you want 2 independent phones, you will need to create another Apple ID.
iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch: Go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff. macOS Ventura: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click General in the sidebar, click AirDrop & Handoff on the right, then turn off Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.
Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data. Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.
If you are signed into Messages and FaceTime with the same Apple/iCloud ID, then your call logs may be mixed. You can both use the same Apple ID for iTunes, and sign into the iTunes & App Store with that same ID, but you should each be using your own unique ID for your FaceTime and Messages logins.
A: When two iPhones are linked to each other, your data that is synchronized in iCloud and iTunes, and your purchases on App Store can be shown and checked on the other device.
Check which devices are signed in to your account by going to Settings > [your name]. If you see a device you don't recognize, tap on that device name and select “Remove from Account.”
If you set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, removing a device will ensure that it can no longer display verification codes. It also won't have access to iCloud and other Apple services, including Find My, until you sign in again with two-factor authentication.
Each person should use their own Apple ID, and many things will get merged and combined when one is shared, such as photos. Make sure you are logged in to your own Apple ID in System Preferences ➡️ iCloud / Apple ID.
Make sure in Settings > [Your Name] your children are each signed in to their own Apple ID and not yours. If they are signed in to yours, that would prompt the photos being shared across all devices with that account linked in iCloud.
Avoid sharing an Apple ID
Apple recommends that you do not share your Apple ID. Instead, set up Family Sharing so that each person uses their own Apple ID.
You can create multiple Apple IDs, but it's best to stick with one account. If you want all of your Apple services to work properly and your devices to sync, you need to make sure to use the same Apple ID everywhere you sign in.
1 Unlink iPhones From Settings
By removing the Apple ID, you will unlink your devices and all of your data will stop syncing. After this process, the specific device will stop appearing in the list of connected devices to this particular Apple ID.
You have both devices signed onto the same iCloud account and Photo Stream turned on? If so, either turn off Photo Stream, or set up a new Apple ID/iCloud account for your wife to use and sign on to her device.

It sounds as if you're sharing an Apple ID. You should each have your own Apple IDs. If you need to share data or purchases, you can set up Family Sharing between the devices.

Turn off iCloud Photos in iCloud and all of your devices
