In the world of Demon Slayer there are, so far, fourteen breathing styles. All of these styles are used by various members of the Demon Slayers Corp in their long-standing feud with demons.
Can Demon Slayers Use Multiple Breathing Styles? The only known Demon Slayer who is capable enough to have two Breathing Styles at his disposal is Tanjiro Kamado. He initially started without any knowledge of Breathing Style and had no prior training in swordsmanship.
Over the course of the series, Tanijiro unlocks multiple breathing styles, but only two have been shown in the anime so far. This list contains all the styles that Tanjiro has performed in the anime and the different techniques classed under them.
Tanjiro has mastered all ten Water Breathing forms, each of them equally deadly and effective depending on the situation and enemy.
There are several forms of Water Breathing in Demon Slayer that can be used to great effect. Tanjiro is far from the only master of this technique, with characters like Giyu Tomioka and Sakonji Urokodaki showing just how effective this technique really is when used correctly.
The Thirteenth Form of the Sun Breathing Style is unique in the sense that it doesn't really have a name of its own. Rather, it's a combination of all the twelve forms present in this style, used in succession to maximize their power. This move was devised by Tanjiro solely to defeat Muzan.
Initially, Tanjiro's accuracy and strength were not up to the mark, which is why Muzan was able to avoid his attacks. However, Tanjiro accurately performed the thirteenth form and inflicted a ton of damage on the Demon King.
Thirteenth Form of Sun Breathing in Demon Slayer
It involves a combination of all existing Sun breathing techniques — but performed in a consecutive manner. This technique's primary purpose is to slash all the twelve vital organs of a demon. Each form targets a specific organ. Tanjiro only used it once in the manga.
8 Tanjiro Is The Only Living User
On the other hand, Sun Breathing can, presently, only be performed by Tanjiro Kamado. Though its techniques can be taught to others provided they have the guidance of a Kamado, there are no other known users who are currently alive.
What yogis refer to as Moon Breath or Chandra Bhedana involves breathing in through your left nostril only. The left side of your body is thought to be associated with the nervous system, and so Chandra Bhedana has been traditionally used to calm it down and promote sleep.
Moon Breathing is solely used by Michikatsu Tsugikuni, one of the first Demon Slayers who utilized Total Concentration Breathing, and is a Breathing Style which he continued using and perfecting after becoming a demon.
Demon Slayer's season 3's latest episode has left fans on edge with Tanjiro's discovery of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's Type Zero sword.
1 Tenth Form: Constant Flux/The Dragon of Change
The most powerful water move in Tanjiro's current skill set, this is a form that gets more and more powerful with each rotation that he puts in. It's number one on the list because it has, theoretically, no ceiling when it comes to its intensity.
This breathing style originally had six forms, each being extremely difficult. Zenitsu mastered the first form to its full capacity but failed to learn the rest. However, the first form itself is extremely difficult. With his master gone, Zenitsu can no longer learn the remaining five forms.
Hinokami Kagura, also known as Sun Breathing, is easily one of the strongest Breathing Styles in the series by a wide margin.
So, not only could Tanjuro use his mastery of the Hinokami Kagura for his dance, but he was also an excellent warrior despite his poor health. Tanjuro Kamado bore a mark on his head similar to Tanjiro's own scar, identifying Tanjuro as a chosen wielder of Sun-Breathing.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
1 Yoriichi Tsugikuni
Yoriichi was the very first user of the Breathing Styles and he came up with Sun Breathing, a powerful breathing form that is known to be the most effective against demons.
In the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira is a group of the strongest and most reputable swordsmen who have defeated members of the Twelve Kizuki. Yet, for some reason, Tanjiro Kamado, the series' protagonist, never becomes a Hashira.
3 Fifth Form: Heat Lightning
All the techniques that Kaigaku can unleash with his Thunder Breathing should make it evident that the majority of his attacks can be converted into ranged strikes that can seriously injure his opponent.
Thunder Breathing has 6 standard forms in total, with the first form said to be the foundation for all the other forms. However, Zenitsu Agatsuma developed a Seventh Form in order to stand on equal ground with Kaigaku, his former senior disciple under Jigoro who had become the Upper Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki.

Tanjiro isn't Faster Than Zenitsu, not at all. He is Strong but Slow. So, Zenitsu Will Probably Chop Him Down to bits before tanjiro even pulls out his sword properly. There ya go!
