Titan, in Greek mythology, any of the children of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaea (Earth) and their descendants. According to Hesiod's Theogony, there were 12 original Titans: the brothers Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, and
MAJOR TITANS : THE URANIDES & IAPETIONIDES. The most important of the Titan gods were the twelve Uranides (Cronus, Oceanus, Iapetus, Hyperion, Crius, Coeus, Rhea, Tethys, Theia, Phoebe, Themis and Mnemosyne) and the four Iapetionides (Atlas, Prometheus, Epimetheus and Menoetius).
The nine Titan powers were the Founding Titan, the Armored Titan, the Attack Titan, the Beast Titan, the Cart Titan, the Colossus Titan, the Female Titan, the Jaw Titan and the War Hammer Titan.
Founding Titan
When she died, her split soul created the Nine Titans who razed the Marley nation to the ground. In its place they created the Eldian Empire. But when the 145th King inherited the Founding Titan, he renounced the war between races, fleeing alongside many other Eldians to Paradis Island.
We know that a titan shifter contains enough spinal fluid to distribute their powers to at least 3 people (although this might vary person to person). So if Maria, Rose, and Sina each had 3 people evenly consume their spinal fluid, there would be nine shifters (each holding ~1/9 of Ymir's power).
Because it is impossible for anyone to surpass the Founder, each person who gained the power of the Titans was fated with the "Curse of Ymir" (ユミルの呪い Yumiru no Noroi?), which limited their remaining lifespan to only 13 years after first acquiring it.
In reality, they were transformed humans known as Subjects of Ymir and had existed for nearly 2,000 years. However, after Eren Yeager's death and Ymir's decision to relinquish her power, all the Titans returned to their human forms, thereby rendering the species nonexistent.
Founding Titan is the first and the strongest Titan of all the nine. If the Founding Titan is someone from Royal Bloodline, then it will possess limitless power. Eren Yeager was not someone of royal blood that's why he asked for Zeke's help to use the Founding Titan to its fullest.
According to legend, the Titans were the children of Gaia, Mother Earth, and her husband, Uranus, the god of the sky. Gaia and Uranus had produced six children before Gaia gave birth to the Titans.
Uranus is the sky god and first ruler. He is the son of Gaea, who created him without help. He then became the husband of Gaea and together they had many offspring, including twelve of the Titans.
Pieck's Cart Titan is arguably the weakest of the Nine, but it comes with several advantages. Unlike its eight brethren, the Cart Titan walks on all four legs, making it an excellent method of transport. Pieck often has large structures attached to her back, which carry both people and weapons.
Eren possessed the power of three Titans. From his father, Eren inherited the Attack and Founding Titans. After eating Lara Tybur during the Raid on Liberio, he gained the War Hammer Titan as well.
After being brought back to Marley, Ymir willingly allowed herself to be killed and was eaten by Marcel Galliard's brother, Porco Galliard, transferring the power of the Jaw Titan to him.
The Titans are also depicted as giant creatures in the popular God of War games. Originally, though, the Titans were not thought to be larger or smaller than other gods. In fact, one characteristic of the Olympian gods is that they are able to change their shape and size at will.
Medusa is a Titan from Greek mythology. Medusa has a human-like torso with the tail of a serpent. Her hair forms a large snake head.
1. Oceanus: Titan God Of The Sea & Water. The eldest of the Titans, Oceanus was married to his sister Thetis. Together the two produced over 6000 spirits of the oceans and streams, known as the Oceanids.
In Greek mythology Cronus was the son of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaea (Earth), being the youngest of the 12 Titans.
According to the Theogony of Hesiod, they were the twelve children of the primordial parents Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth), with six male Titans—Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, and Cronus—and six female Titans, called the Titanides or "Titanesses" (αἱ Τῑτᾱνῐ́δες, hai Tītānídes)—Theia, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, ...
According to Hesiod's Theogony, there were 12 original Titans: the brothers Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, and Cronus and the sisters Thea, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. At the instigation of Gaea the Titans rebelled against their father, who had shut them up in the underworld (Tartarus).
Some Intelligent Titans can talk while others cannot. Those who cannot talk have mouths that physically prevent them from proper speech, such as Eren's. The ones that can talk include Ymir, Zeke, Pieck Finger, and Lara.
During the first season of Attack on Titan, people were wondering who the Female Titan was. The female Titan was Annie Leonhart. She was an extremely powerful Titan who displayed mastery in hand-to-hand combat and possessed hardening capabilities, making it difficult for the Scout Regiment to cut her nape.
1 Mikasa Killed Eren, Destroying The Founding Titan For Good
Mikasa entered the mouth of the Founding Titan where Eren's body was sheltered and briskly decapitated him. Eren's death stopped the power of the Titans for good, which meant Titans could no longer terrorize the world.
The Mad Titan was easily able to dispatch the Hulk without even using the only Infinity Stone he had available at the time: The Power Stone. The polished fighting style of Thanos proved too much for Hulk and his overall brutality and savagery.
The legend of the first Titan, Ymir Fritz, details how the Titans' founder lived for a mere 13 years, and thereafter, no Titan could surpass that limit. Grisha himself was said to be proof of these limitations, feeding himself to Eren after having been in possession of the Attack Titan for 13 years.
There is no specification on the manga or anime about that. But it seems that any "pure" titan as long it gets the spinal fluid of 1/9 titans is able to go back to being a human no matter how long it takes then in their pure titan form.
