Over 30 years later, Chozen proved his superiority over his former enemy by defeating him in a rematch. The fight between Daniel and Chozen indicated that the latter is one of the franchise's best fighters. The way he beat Daniel positioned him above the two-time All Valley champion, Johnny, and even Kreese.
Being a student of Miyagi-Do, Chozen learned how to counterattack and has great defensive techniques. However, unlike Daniel, Chozen also learned the offensive side of Miyagi-Do, showing that he is probably the best fighter in the whole series.

Tory by far has the hardest life out of any other character in the show. She uses those hardships as the fire to fuel her fighting. Tory starts off by only knowing kickboxing, and then after joining Cobra Kai, becomes one of the best students.

John Kreese was the better fighter in their army days. But as we can see in Karate Kid Part 3, Terry Silver eventually became the more skilled martial artist. This is apparent when they both fought Mr. Miyagi, and Silver lasted almost 10 seconds longer.
Using extensive knowledge of Miyagi history, both taught to him by his uncle Sato, as well as his own study through artifacts in his collection, Chozen teaches Daniel techniques Mr. Miyagi himself never taught.
Crucially, Terry Silver has no idea who Chozen is, which gives Toguchi and LaRusso an edge when Cobra Kai season 5 begins. Chozen is a dangerous enemy for Silver because he's an expertly-trained Miyagi-Do sensei who has kept up his skills for decades, unlike Daniel, who retired from karate for 20 years.
