Credence Isn't Voldemort's Dad But He Could Be Snape's Grandpa. Before Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them came out, it seemed like the story's only real Potter connection would be Newt Scamander's relation to Luna Lovegood and a Dumbledore name-drop.
Merope was born in 1907, just six years after Aurelius Dumbledore. She died in childbirth at age 19. Tom Riddle, who became Voldemort, was raised in an orphanage until Dumbledore took him to Hogwarts. This is the only way that Credence could be related to Voldemort.
It is explained that Credence is the illegitimate son of Albus's younger brother, Aberforth (Richard Coyle). His real name is Aurelius Dumbledore. Aberforth's wife was murdered, and Aurelius was raised under the name Credance as an orphan.
Aurelius Dumbledore (born c. spring 1900), also known as Credence Barebone through adoption, was an English-born American half-blood wizard who lived during the 20th century. He was the son of Aberforth Dumbledore and an unnamed woman.
It turns out that Credence isn't Albus' brother — he's his nephew. "The Secrets of Dumbledore" circumvents the timeline issues by revealing that Credence — or rather, Aurelius — isn't Albus' brother. He's Aberforth's son, which makes him Albus' nephew.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore confirmed that Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore (Ezra Miller) is the new Snape (Alan Rickman) through a very familiar line delivered by Aberforth Dumbledore (Richard Coyle). Fantastic Beasts 3 finally shed light on the Credence being Aurelius Dumbledore plot twist.
Credence's costume and hair change are so similar to Severus Snape's that it foreshadows his path in Fantastic Beasts 3 — consequently ruining his ending. Grindelwald abused Credence's need for an identity, telling him whatever he wanted to hear to secure his loyalty in his war against Dumbledore.
Many Harry Potter fans might also wonder how Tom Riddle avoided becoming an Obscurial, and the answer is that he was also protected by muggle ignorance. Tom was highly aware that he was magical, but he enjoyed the power he emanated, and he used it as a way of scaring people away from him.
Nagini was Lord Voldemort's final Horcrux
In an interview, J.K. Rowling revealed that it was the murder of Bertha Jorkins that made Nagini a Horcrux. After Voldemort discovered his Horcruxes were in danger, Nagini was magically protected, described as being encased in a 'starry, translucent sphere'.
Her son was taken to the USA by an aunt when he was still an infant. He was adopted by Mary Lou Barebone and renamed Credence Barebone. Mary Lou later suggested to Credence that she had known her and was aware of the fact she was a witch.
In the final moments of the new film, Grindelwald reveals a crucial secret to Credence: Credence is the long-lost younger brother of Albus Dumbledore himself — and his real name is Aurelius.
As the phoenix bird's ashes drop onto him, Albus knows for certain that Credence is in fact Aurelius, Aberforth's long-lost son.
Credence's phoenix played a pivotal role in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The magical creature alerted Dumbledore to the fact that young Aurelius was dying, with the phoenix spreading ashes over him on occasion. The phoenix has an innate sense of danger and always vows to protect the Dumbledores.
Gellert Grindelwald (1883-1998) was considered to be one of the most powerful Dark Wizards of all time, second only to Tom Marvolo Riddle, who later became known as Lord Voldemort. He was schooled at Durmstrang Institute until his expulsion.
Dumbledore first met Tom Riddle at Wool's Orphanage in 1938 while offering Tom a spot at Hogwarts. The scene is chronicled both in the 6th novel and in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
J.K. Rowling recently gave more insight into one of the most controversial characters in the Wizarding World: Nagini, who was known only as Voldemort's snake in "Harry Potter," but appears as a woman in the prequel series, "Fantastic Beasts."
Nonetheless, despite her initially benevolent nature, Nagini's blood curse eventually turned her into a snake permanently. Though it is unknown if she became evil as a result of that, or was turned evil as a result of Voldemort turning her into a Horcrux. As a snake, Nagini was completely loyal to Lord Voldemort.
When Harry and Hermione are on the first floor of Bathilda's house, Nagini (inside the corpse of Bathilda) tells Harry to "Come!" from the next room in Parseltongue. In reaction, Hermione jumps and clutches Harry's arm, and the two of them obey the command.
It wasn't just inanimate objects that could become Horcruxes. Lord Voldemort's beloved snake companion, Nagini, was also transformed into one, and Dumbledore seemed to know it, ominously predicting that a day would come where Voldemort would 'fear for his snake'.
Whilst under her care, Credence was physically abused by the deranged woman as to suppress his magical abilities. Her frequent abuse of her adopted son would cause him to become arguably the most powerful Obscurial in the Harry Potter universe.
He was eventually consumed by his Obscurus and went on a rampage which destroyed large parts of New York. He miraculously survived the incident. However, by the 1930s, his nature was slowly poisoning Credence to death.
No, on many reasons. Newt married Tina and had a child with her, not a giant and also, Hagrid's last name is, well Hagrid, so no, Newt isn't Hagrid's dad.
Yeah, there are some similarities between them like they both were half blood and what u said but they are not related in any way. Also, Queenie was a naturally born legillimen while Snape had acquired that skill.
His paternal grandparents were Livia and Septimus Snape.
But Credence is dying as a result of his Obscurus curse, and it's very likely Aberforth will only get to spend just a short amount of precious time with his son. This is the root of Credence not being mentioned in the Harry Potter series.
