Frankie is such a well-trained and behaved dog that she's left viewers wondering whether she is actually Scotty's dog or just hired for TV. But Frankie is 100 per cent Scotty's family dog and was rescued from the RSPCA in Yagoona, where the host found his two previous dogs, Rosie and Lizzie.
Frankie, who was rescued from the pound, is both Scotty's family dog and a working dog on his cattle property. Scotty explained that Frankie has been so well trained she had no stage fright around all the cameras, building equipment and people on site.

The Scottish Terrier temperament can be defined as good for people but aggressive toward other dogs and animals. They are moderately open to strangers and are mostly friendly and playful with everyone. Scotties have a high adaptability level, so you can easily train them when they are small.

They're Cooling Off

Separation anxiety can often be combated with patience and training. This condition arises in a vast majority of dogs of all breeds and Scotties are no exception.
We call this skin allergy “atopy”, and Scotties often have it. Commonly, the feet, belly, folds of the skin, and ears are most affected. Symptoms typically start between the ages of one and three and can get worse every year. Licking the paws, rubbing the face, and frequent ear infections are the most common signs.
Secondary yeast or bacterial infections on the skin or inside the ears remain the most common medical reasons dogs might smell awful.
