Gaviscon with Painkillers
It's safe to take paracetamol at the same time as Gaviscon but do not take ibuprofen or aspirin with it without talking to your doctor or a pharmacist at PPRX first. These can make your symptoms worse.
They resolve spontaneously after stopping gaviscon (within 48 h in our case). Clinicians must be aware of this possible unwanted side effect, which may eventually cause intestinal obstruction at a later stage.
