Lindt uses skim milk powder, whole milk powder, and other dairy ingredients in many of our chocolate products. While our white and milk chocolate products contain the most, the Excellence 70%, 85%, 90% and 99% bars do not have milk products in them.
We are delighted to inform you that our chocolates (including our Lindor and Excellence ranges) are suitable for vegetarians. The only ingredients of animal origin we use to manufacture some of our chocolates are milk, milk products, milk fat and cream and sometimes eggs. Some of our other brands to contain shellac.
Milk is not an ingredient in any of our dark chocolate over 50% cocoa (except our caramel flavours). This makes it a popular choice for people who are lactose intolerant and vegan.
Yes, there are some Lindt products which are vegan! The two Lindt products from the Excellence range that we can guarantee are 100% vegan are Lindt EXCELLENCE 99% Cocoa and Lindt EXCELLENCE 85% Cocoa.

Even if it's 70% cocoa, dark chocolate isn't necessarily dairy-free. We're not talking about chocolate bars filled with salted caramel — even plain or sea salted dark chocolate can have dairy products in it.
