While the Hulk has god-level
Rising to his feet, Hulk backhands the Son of Zeus, before pummeling the Greek god into submission as he begs Hulk to stop, trying to convince him that they're there to help. Namora covers her eyes, unable to watch any more of the brutal beating.
God (One Above All)
The One Above All is the ultimate source of life and creation and the architect/creator of the Multiverse and everything that exists.
Now, fans have a clear explanation why Hulk never stays dead for long (and it's not just fan demand). Marvel Comics has explained the Hulk's return with the reveal that the hero is actually immortal. Apparently, he always has been.
In spite of his invulnerability and his strength often fool people into believing that he's, in reality, immortal but this isn't the case. As we'll soon come to find out that the Hulk is certainly mortal and can die or be killed, but both scenarios are extremely unlikely to happen.
With a known resistance to all Earth-based diseases – which includes AIDS (yes, this was brought up in the comics) – the Hulk can survive almost anything, and as a result, it's tough to imagine a senior-aged Hulk rolling around in a wheelchair or moving into a retirement home.
Before he can defeat him, the Immortal Hulk is stopped by the Savage Hulk, who is being emotionally manipulated by the Leader. The Immortal Hulk is beheaded by a monstrous Leader and his heart is ripped out. His corpse, alongside Banner, is taken to the Below-Place by the Leader.
In the comics, Zeus was depicted as a mentor to a young Thor. Out of the respect and friendship between Zeus and Thor's father, Odin, the two shared a deep friendship. Once Odin died, Zeus acted as a father figure and advisor. The film depicts the two at odds, with them trying to kill each other.
Stan Lee, the godfather of Marvel comics, dies at 95.
Why is Zeus the strongest god? Zeus is the strongest of the gods in the Ancient Greek religion because he has both power and intelligence. He is able to ensure that he is not replaced by another, more powerful deity.
While the Hulk has god-level powers and strength, the hero is not an official god in the same way Hercules, Thor, Knull, or the Jade Giant's own god-like being, the One Below All, are.
As such, Zeus decides to grant the Hulk's request to beat him to death in hand-to-hand combat. The Hulk's first blow sends Zeus crashing into a nearby building. Zeus then returns this with an even more powerful blow. The ruler of the Olympians than overpowers the Hulk, and ultimately knocks him off Mount Olympus.
However, one power the Hulk has that has been somewhat forgotten over time is his ability to breathe underwater. In Avengers #3, Marvel Comics revealed Hulk could hold his breath underwater for long periods - with Banner realizing in later stories he didn't need to come for air, as his body could adapt.
While the Hulk was easily able to survive the barrage of nuclear weapons, the noise of the explosions and cries of dying people eventually came to bother him. The Hulk returned to his birthplace in New Mexico and sealed himself in a cave with a massive boulder, trapping Banner inside with him for many years.
However, just because Ghost Rider doesn't have any reason to kill the Green Goliath doesn't mean he can't, as hellfire is revealed to be the one thing that can actually kill the Hulk–and the Hulk himself confirmed it.
While the MCU Hulk was not able to defeat Thanos, his comic book counterparts pose a better chance to make an even fight particularly if Thanos does not wield the Infinity Gauntlet. These two titans in the Marvel Universe seem destined to do battle in some form or another.
Vibranium can also cut the Hulk due to the same reasoning as Adamantium -- they are two of the strongest metals in the world. The one thing to note is that when Hulk gets angrier, his skin becomes more durable and can then withstand even these metals.
Blonsky sought out and battled the Hulk to prove his superiority. Betty Ross called him an “abomination,” and Blonsky approved of that descriptor enough to take it as his name. The Abomination soundly defeated the Hulk in their first encounter, leaving him near death.
Thor is a God himself
With magic and Godlike abilities, Thor also became immortal. The people of Asgard used their magic along with advanced knowledge to create a fruit that brings immortality, known as the Apples of Idunn. Also, Thor Odinson is among the ones who took it, and he lives for a long long time.
1 Amatsu-Mikaboshi
The Japanese deity is known as the Chaos King and his power is perhaps as old as the universe itself. Mikaboshi is a being of pure hatred and malice, but it's a part of the very fabric of his creation to want to spread evil in all its forms.
Hela, the Asgardian Goddess of Death, rules two of the nine realms: Hel, land of the dead, and Niffleheim, land of eternal ice. With a simple touch, she can cause gods to perish, but Hela's purpose is to receive Asgardian souls, as well as their followers.
