Black is a primary color across all models of color space. In Western culture, it is considered a negative color and usually symbolizes death, grief, or evil but also depression.
Silver has represented the devious actions of Judas and gleaming armour that's now rusted. Kelly Grovier looks at the complex history of a shade that can bedazzle as well as tarnish. Silver is the shiftiest of colours.

Psychology of Color: Black
It's a somber color sometimes associated with evil (the cowboy in the black hat was almost always the "bad guy"). In the western hemisphere black is associated with grieving.
Still, we also associate negative feelings with blue. For instance, when the color blue is used in excess, it can convey impersonality, coldness, and even unfriendliness. Moreover, blue is often associated with sadness and depression.
In color psychology, grey represents neutrality and balance. Its color meaning likely comes from being the shade between white and black. However, grey does carry some negative connotations, particularly when it comes to depression and loss. Its absence of color makes it dull.
Red: The red wire is positive. Black: The black wire is negative. White: The white wire is neutral or ground.

According to color psychologists, the most stressful and anxiety-inducing color is 'red'. Red room ideas can be too intense for some people – could your red decor be one of the reasons why your friends hate your house? It reminds us of danger and is a color that makes you angry.
For instance, red shades tend to trigger your stress response, making you more anxious, while lighter shades calm you down. If you are feeling overly stressed, you can use color as a stress management tool.
Blue – A highly peaceful color, blue can be especially helpful for stress management because it can encourage a powerful sense of calm. Purple – In many cultures, shades of violet represent strength, wisdom and peace. Purple can invoke a tranquil feeling that helps reduce stress.
White: White color itself is a symbol of peace and purity, humility, innocence and silence.
