Red is the color at the long wavelength end of the visible spectrum of light, next to orange and opposite violet. It has a dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres. It is a primary color in the RGB color model and a secondary color in the CMYK color model, and is the complementary color of cyan.
Originally the weapon had a blue blade, but after his destruction of the Jedi Temple and fall to the dark side in 28 ABY, Ren modified it into one with a red blade.
Kylo Ren's crossguard lightsaber is an ancient design that recalls weapons seen millennia ago during the Great Scourge of Malachor.
This was all because of its cracked kyber crystal. As with how the Siths get their red lightsabers, Kylo Ren made his kyber crystal bleed to get its signature color, but typically, this process doesn't result in a defective gem, hence why no one else has a ragged blade in Star Wars.
The Ren served as a symbol of leadership of the Knights of Ren, a band of marauders that used the dark side of the Force. It was discarded on the Minemoon after Ren's death by the Jedi Ben Solo, who wielded a red-bladed crossguard lightsaber after taking control of the Knights as Kylo Ren.
Without a doubt, the most notable Jedi with a purple saber is Mace Windu, portrayed in the prequel trilogy by Samuel L. Jackson. Audiences first got a glimpse of the unusual blade in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, making Windu the coolest Jedi in one cinematic moment.
A crystal embodies the Jedi as the heart of the lightsaber, and pure kyber has no color until it's bonded to the Force user. This process likely resulted in Rey Skywalker's lightsaber being yellow.
Red. The color of evil. Those who go down the dark path, mostly notably the Sith, can't form the same relationship with kyber crystals as Jedi, so they must steal them or take them from slain followers of the light.
Skywalker lightsaber. Anakin Skywalker carried this blue-bladed Jedi weapon throughout the Clone Wars. After dueling his former apprentice on Mustafar, Obi-Wan Kenobi took Anakin's lightsaber and kept it on Tatooine for nearly two decades.
A single cracked Kyber crystal, barely able to contain the weapon's power, necessitated the lateral vents which diverted the extra heat produced by the crystal to either side of the hilt, and gave the weapon's red plasma blades an unstable, serrated appearance.
Leia's lightsaber was a blue-bladed lightsaber used by Princess Leia Organa during her time as a Jedi Padawan training under her brother Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. Leia constructed her Jedi weapon shortly after the Battle of Endor, and utilized it in various sparring sessions with Skywalker.
Rey's lightsaber was a yellow-bladed lightsaber that was constructed by the Jedi Rey Skywalker following the First Order-Resistance War.
Silver Lightsabers
In Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi uses a silver lightsaber when he faces off against his former apprentice, Darth Vader. This represents the end of Kenobi's time as a Jedi and the beginning of his new role as a protector of peace.
After losing his father's lightsaber on Cloud City, Luke Skywalker constructed a replacement with a green plasma blade, its hilt similar to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi's weapon.
Purple itself is considered the most powerful lightsaber color in the Star Wars galaxy. Very few Jedi have ever wielded a lightsaber of this color. The only two people known to have wielded a purple lightsaber are Mace Windu and Darth Revan in the past.
Tenel Ka Djo, the Princess of Hapes, had a tiara of rainbow gems worth the price of an entire solar system. She used some of the crystals in her second lightsaber, after her first one malfunctioned and led to the loss of her arm.
There is only one known character in all of Star Wars canon to have a magenta lightsaber. That character is Cal Kestis. Cal is from the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and he is a force-sensitive human who over the course of the game becomes a Jedi knight.
Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN's audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.
Regarding fighting style, purple lightsabers are best suited for individuals that move with quickly developing strikes, loaded with intense and adaptable moves. They incorporate a high-level of gymnastics into their technique, including somersaults, flips, and various other leaping strikes.
Kyber crystals are rare gems that possess a natural connection to the force. Kyber crystals have to be mined from deep within the ground, and so they are only found on specific worlds like Ilum, Exegol, Jedha, Lothal, and Utapau among others.
By ways of the Force, they would pour negative emotions, such as rage, hate, fear, and pain into kyber crystals. The process would result in the crystals gaining a distinctive crimson or red hue.
Encased in a distinctive silver-and-copper hilt, Leia's lightsaber used a naturally-occurring blue kyber crystal, much like Luke's original saber that he had inherited from his father by way of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Even though Finn is once again Force-sensitive, and tries to tell Rey about it throughout the film, the film ends without the story addressing his abilities. While fans were left wondering about Finn's Force status, subsequent Lego films have confirmed it, and Finn is already on the road to becoming a Jedi.
Ahsoka Tano, the former Jedi Padawan who aided in the rebellion against the Galactic Empire, is acknowledged as the sole possessor of the white lightsaber.
