Though she's able to throw in some blows, Homelander crushes in one of her eyes. She, along with everyone in the building, is about to be killed from
Most notably, however, Maeve was in a relationship with Homelander but broke up with him when he tricked her into having a blindfolded sex session with Black Noir and physically assaulted her when questioned about it.
Maeve manages to give Butcher three vials of Temp-V or V-24, levelling the playing field by giving its user powers for 24 hours. But all in vain. Maeve gets more V-24 to Butcher and feeling dejected and defeated, the two get drunk and have sex, which left everyone shocked.
But, surprisingly, both Queen Maeve and Soldier Boy survive. Maeve, now powerless (Soldier Boy's radiation removed the Compound V in her system, just like it did to Kimiko), is also free to live the life she always wanted with her girlfriend Elena.
Eventually, she sacrificed her life while protecting Starlight from Homelander. However, her sacrifice was avenged when Homelander was killed by his clone, Black Noir.
In Kripke's words: "It is right narratively for [Maeve] to exit stage left because she was too powerful, and she solved too many of Starlight's problems for her. For Starlight to truly flower into the powerful character she is, she needs to remove all of her life preservers.
He's just keeping her alive until he no longer needs her. There is one thing he needs to do first, and that's to harvest her eggs. You see, Homelander wants a child. He wants to create a child with Queen Maeve.
Meanwhile, Maeve begins having casual sex with Jackson Marchetti before the two eventually start dating after Otis inadvertently gives Jackson advice on how to win Maeve over. When Maeve discovers that she is pregnant with Jackson's child, she asks Otis to accompany her to get an abortion.
"Maeve is going to learn she's pregnant with Butcher's child. She was ready for everything to be over and ready and willing to die... but she's gonna have to rethink everything after learning she's pregnant.
Yup, Soldier Boy is Homelander's biological father. Suddenly all these daddy issues make a lot more sense. This character element isn't from the original The Boys comics, but was something Kripke and the writer's room came up with for the show.
She is at first rejoiced at being selected, however is later sexually assaulted when the Deep extorts her into performing oral sex on him in "The Name of the Game" in order for her to stay on the team.
Return of Soldier Boy
Noir eventually attacked Maeve per order of Homelander after she confessed that she never really loved him. Noir was also mentioned by Grace Mallory when she talked to The Boys about the Nicaragua incident, back when Noir was a member of Payback.
Kimiko is hit with one of his blasts before he runs off and is badly injured. Come the end of the episode she is bleeding out in the back of a van, unable to heal herself like usual because she has no more Compound V in her body.
In both the comic and TV series, Noir is a member of the hedonistic and reckless Vought-American superhero group the Seven and is depicted as a "silent ninja" type parody of Batman, Snake Eyes and Deathstroke.
Even though Soldier Boy could not take down Homelander with the help of Hughie and Butcher (Karl Urban) using temporary doses of Compound V, it was abundantly clear that he is still the closest anyone has been to the individual strength of Homelander.
He Assaulted Butcher's Wife, Becca
Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), the leader of "The Boys," began his crusade against Homelander and The Seven as a result of what happened to his wife Becca (Shantel VanSanten). When Becca worked for Vought, she was sexually assaulted by Homelander.
Trivia. Soldier Boy is a villainous parody of the Marvel comics superhero Captain America and antihero The Winter Soldier. Just like Captain America, he fought in WWII, uses a shield and became a hero before "dying" only to be found alive decades later and be placed in the modern world.
In Garth Ennis' original comic books, a huge number of supes are capable of flight compared to the TV show. By bringing that number right down, Homelander begins to look even more special and unique among his own kind. Unfortunately, that means Queen Maeve having her wings clipped.
In “Episode 2,” Maeve realizes she is pregnant after secretly hooking up with sports star Jackson Marchetti (Kedar Williams-Stirling). After the revelation, she continues having sex with Jackson during “2.”
Homelander and Stormfront made a villainous pairing. Yet, the comics portrayed a sexual relationship between Queen Maeve and Stormfront.
As always, trouble is brewing elsewhere: after sleeping with Butcher, Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) attracts the terrifying ire of Homelander. According to the show's creator, we should be fearing for her. Amazon Studios Queen Maeve is in a “tight spot” in The Boys.
Affectionate Nickname: Her brother and mother both call her "Froggy" or "Frogface", which is clearly an endearing family pet name from Maeve's childhood. Maeve isn't too fond of it, though, especially when her mother first appears.
However, Starlight does not die in the comics when the story finally comes to a close. She is fully prepared to die trying to defeat Homelander, but Queen Maeve actually saves her from his wrath. This results in Homelander killing Queen Maeve, and Black Noir later is the one responsible for killing The Seven's leader.
In the "What I Know" arc, Butcher is revealed to have killed Soldier Boy with a public funeral being held for him and members of the Seven (including the Homelander) serving as his pallbearers.
In the TV series "The Boys," there is no evidence to suggest that Becca, the wife of the character Butcher, cheated on him. In fact, the show portrays Becca as a loyal and loving wife who was taken from Butcher against her will by the villainous character Homelander.
