Just as Allah brings the dead dry earth back to life by sending down abundant rain, He also guides the hardened hearts with the proofs and evidences of the Qur'ān. By inserting the light of īmān into these hearts, these hearts are softened after previously being blocked. Therefore, do not give up.
There are three components of gratitude: (1) Thanking Allah by humbling our hearts to Him. (2) Thanking Allah by acknowledging His favours and praising Him with our tongues. (3) Thanking Allah by using all of our body parts to obey Him.

A hard-hearted person will commit the gravest of sins, even blasphemy (kufr). This disease distances a person from the mercy of Allah Almighty and takes away the sweetness of worship. A hard-hearted person will commit sins audaciously.
1. Creating peace of mind through remembrance of Allah . The best way to create that peace of mind by remembering Allah is to do it consistently throughout the day. That doesn't mean that we can't get on with living life, but instead I suggest that you attach 5 minutes of Rememberance to the 5 daily prayers.
