There are two brown alleles, B (dominant brown) and b (recessive brown). It takes two recessives (bb) to dilute black pigment to brown. For dogs in the red or yellow pigment family (phaeomelanin), the brown allele can change the color of the nose and foot pads to brown.
BB - two copies of black, so puppy will be black. Bb or bB - one copy of black, one of liver. Black is dominant, so puppy will be black.
Dogs with B/B genotype are expected to express undiluted black pigment. They cannot transmit this brown variant to any of their offspring. Dogs with B/b genotype are expected to express undiluted black pigment and are carriers of brown. They will transmit the brown allele to 50% of their offspring.
b/b. 2 copies of brown present - black pigment (if present) is diluted to. brown, red/yellow dogs have brown noses and foot pads.
Dogs that carry at least one copy of b can produce brown dogs if bred to another dog that is also brown (b/b) or a carrier of brown (B/b). Depending on the breed, b/b dogs may be referred to as brown, chocolate, liver or red. Other Names: B locus, ba, bc, bd and bs loci.
With respect to eye color, the allele for brown eyes (B) is dominant, and the allele for blue eyes (b) is recessive. If a person receives dominant alleles from both parents (BB) she will have brown eyes.
Blonde hair (bb) is a recessive trait, and brown hair (Bb) or (BB) is dominant. If both parents have brown hair, what must be true if one of their children has blonde hair?
More commonly, however, bb is short for baby as an affectionate term used of lovers, partners, friends, and even pets. Fans on social media may even gush over their idols by referring to them as bb.
ky/ky. - no copies of dominant black (allows expression of the A-Locus) Scientific References: Berryere TG, Kerns JA, Barsh GS, Schmutz SM (2005). Association of an agouti allele with fawn or sable coat colour in domestic dogs.
F2 generation dogs are a cross between two F1 hybrids, they are the offsets resulting from the mating of two F1 hybrids. For example, a Labradoodle with parents who are also Labradoodles.
Two brown dogs mated together will never throw black puppies because brown dogs do not have the black gene. But two chocolate dogs can produce yellow puppies, if each of the parents carries the little e gene – see the bottom right hand box below.
Of course, this can be the simple case of genetics – sometimes two white canines can produce black puppies if they both carry the dominant “black” gene. A color from generations ago can pop up in any puppy.
Phenotype. The physical appearance of the genotype is called the phenotype. For example, children with the genotypes 'BB' and 'Bb' have brown-eye phenotypes, whereas a child with two blue-eye alleles and the genotype 'bb' has blue eyes and a blue-eye phenotype.
Treeing Walker Coonhound. The BT Walker is a mix between the Treeing Walker Coonhound and the Boxer breeds. This is a large dog with short and course hair that is perfect for any kind of weather.
So What's the Truth About Dog Color Blindness? Having yellow-blue dichromatic vision means that dogs are most similar to a red-green color blind person. They are very good at distinguishing between variations of blues and yellows (and whites and grays), but cannot really see red and green all that well.
The Beabull is a designer dog achieved by crossing a Beagle with a Bulldog. This new dog breed is gaining popularity due to their attractive appearance and delightful nature. It is an unpredictable breed for appearance as each dog may vary from another depending on the parental genetic contribution.
Furnished breeds (FF) or (Ff) that show variation at the Shedding Locus.

The Disease
The Familial or Hereditary Nephropathy (FN) is a juvenile-onset fatal kidney disease in English Cocker Spaniels. The renal disease caused by FN invariably is progressive and ultimately fatal.
BB Means Baby
“BB” is most commonly used on the internet (and in text messages) as an abbreviated form of “baby.” However, “baby” in this context is used as a pet name or term of endearment for your romantic partner and not an infant child.
Bibi is a short variant of Birgit, Bianca and Bridget. It is a common name in Scandinavia and Germany.
BBCode ("Bulletin Board Code") is a lightweight markup language used to format messages in much Internet forum software, first introduced by Coalson LLC. in 1998. The available "tags" of BBCode are usually indicated by square brackets ( [ and ] ) surrounding a keyword, and are parsed before being translated into HTML.
Only offspring with the bb genotype will have the white-flower phenotype. Therefore, in this cross, you would expect three out of four (75 percent) of the offspring to have purple flowers and one out of four (25 percent) to have white flowers.
If the brown male had been BB, then all offspring would have been Bb and all brown. However, if the male is Bb as above and you perform a testcross, 50% of all offspring should have the bb genotype and a white phenotype.
Using the Punnett square, you can see that the probability of the Bb genotype is 1 / 2 1/2 1/2 .
